As an orthodontist, I am honored to become part of someone's life during their treatment time. I enjoy getting to know each patient, and helping them attain a beautiful smile and healthy bite. My goal is to provide a comfortable and positive experience, and a smile that exceeds their expectations. I truly care about those who come to me for care, and am a perfectionist in my work.
Education and Continuing Education
I received my education at the University of Texas Dental Branch, and am always looking for new ways to improve my skills. Each year, I meet and exceed the required number of continuing education hours set by our state. As a part of my studies, I am a diplomate for the American Board of Orthodontics, and am an active member of the American Association for Orthodontics, Southwestern Society of Orthodontics, Ninth District Society, American Dental Association, and Texas Dental Association. My continuing education helps me stay at the forefront of …the latest orthodontic knowledge, so I can always provide my patients with proven treatments and the highest level of quality care.
In the Practice
Each day I come in the office, I have the opportunity to make a positive difference in the lives of my patients. Not only am I creating healthy smiles, but I am giving them a reason to smile! I want each patient to realize how special they are, so they feel comfortable sharing their new smile with everyone they meet.
Each patient is different, and I enjoy learning what makes them special. With our younger patients, I love teaching them how to take care of their appliances. When they come in to their next appointment with clean teeth, I enjoy celebrating with them, and they are proud of this new responsibility! Our adult patients are wonderful to chat with, and I am honored that they came to me to help perfect their smile.
Family and Community
I grew up in many places, including the Fort Worth area, Alaska, Wyoming and Japan. My father was a pediatrician in the Air Force, and I always admired his ability to help others. I have been in the Houston area since 2000, and am happy to raise my family here. My wife, Kate, and I have two sons, Gavin and Liam. In my spare time, I enjoy watching movies, traveling, reading, and of course spending time with my family.
I also spend a lot of time volunteering for my church, New Hope. We have a "Be Warm and Be Fed" program that what we did in 2010. I really enjoyed being able to give back to our community, and look forward to each new opportunity to help those in need.
