Dr. John Francis Mc Guire, MD

After waiting over 45 minutes, he spent less than 4 minutes with me. In that time, he examined my throat with a scope that's supposed to be run through the sinus, but he just put it straight down my throat, very nearly causing me to gag. He was completely uninterested in reviewing my case. I was very angry when I left, so when over $450 in procedures were posted to my insurer, I filed a formal complaint through that company. Horrible experience. I have little trouble believing this "doctor" committed the many felonies on which he stands accused, given how eager he was to disregard my safety and overbill my insurance. Oh, and his only recommendation that I should 'drink hot tea' for my throat was completely off-base. Fortunately, I was properly treated elsewhere.

I was referred to Doctor McGuire by my GP about a year and a half ago and I had an excellent experience. His staff and he were very professional and thorough, gave me advice and cleared my problem up, as I recall, without even a prescription. I was very pleased and I would happily refer a friend o family member to his office.

One of the most compassionate, competent, and professional people I have met. Saved my husband's life, in my opinion.

My children and I are patients of Dr. Mcguire. He has ALWAYS been professional and caring. He NEVER crossed any lines. I pray that justice will be done.

Dr. McGuire is awesome! He took the time with me that nobody else ever did, and my life has been changed for the better since he did my sinus surgery. His surgery coordinator Jody is outstanding, really goes the extra mile for his patients.

He spent less than 2 minutes with me. He looked in my ear and said it is clean. He said he can not do anything for my ringing ear. He walked out and referred me to a laboratory for audiological testing. That was that and a charge of $216. No response about the excess mucus in my throat. But I received an additional charge for a phantom services, use of flexible endoscope ($217). This service was not provided. Is the phantom charge his fault or his staff.

Spent way too much time waiting. Got in and Doctor Mcguire seemed distant and every question asked was met with a blank stare at first. He really seemed impaired in some way. I asked him what he thought of the xray that I bought with me and he fumbled around and couldn't even find it, then said he could tell by just looking at my son. The xray was next to him and I don't think he even looked at it. He was very quick to say we needed surgery though and that he would do it this week. I am pretty sure we were just money walking! Well, I won't go back - sure wish I met his partner, maybe it would have been better.

They asked me to be there early, then made me wait for more than 30 minuets beyond my appointment time. Then he saw me for about two minutes - told me to go see a different specialist. I will go see a different ENT specialist who would be willing to see my sinus. (I went there with a letter of authorization from my insurance company for about 10 items.) I wasted my time sitting in his cold waiting room with unfriendly staff.

I am 26 and have had tubes put in my ears twice in his office. He has also treated and managed, as best he can, my ongoing symptoms of Meniere's. He has literally seen me at my worst, and seen me at my best. And every time he has a smile on his face, and is just happy to help and inform me of any new info. He is very compassionate about his job, and by far the most laid back ENT Docs I have ever seen. When you don't feel well, that is a HUGE plus in my book! His staff is great, always friendly, and his office manager is wonderful!
