Dr. John Paul Mckenzie III, MD

Amazing doctor. He is so brilliant when you mention to other doctors that you are seeing him they pause and say what a super-intelligent doctor he is. A true life saver

I saw Dr. McKenzie due to me having SVT he did an ablation on my which did not hurt at all, very easy going hearing Jay-Z through out the procedure. I really like Dr. McKenzie as my electrophysiologist. I myself am in the medical field and you understand how bussy Dr's are but you come to appreciate a good Dr when you find one....

Dr. McKenzie is certainly in a class by himself, Perfection!!!

Dr. McKenzie was a caring physician to me when I had my catheter ablation done in 1 year before 2000. See, folks; I'm still alive. He's a busy guy, with lots of consults, and a lot of duties. He is caring, and he made sure to tell me that if I need to reach him or let him know if any health problems, I could write a note and leave it with the receptionist; that way, he'd would get to it for sure.

Dr. McKenzie is a very good doctor. I am 32 and suffer from congestive heart failiure. He performed my pacemakerICD and ablation procedures very successfully. Ablation is a very uncomfortable procedure but thats the way it has to be done. The patient has to be some what conscious during the procedure.

This doctor cured me atrial fibrilation after two procedures. He spent a long time in the surgery and solved my problem. I saw records confirming this time spent. He has demonstrated the highest level of care and concern for me as a person and as a patient. I was referred to him by a medical professional who told me accurately that he takes much time with each patient and that is ok with me. I always bring a good book and am happy to wait as as I know he will also take time with me. Recent follow up visits required almost no wait. He does research and has published at least one scholarly cardiology paper. He takes time to explain everything and answer all questions cheerfully. The one negative rating in this site is entirely wrong and offensive to me. I credit this man for restoring my useful life and without the need for medication.

The doctor does not follow through in a timely manner. Indifferent how long it takes him to discharge a patient from the hospital. Does not appear to give complete information to receptionist for her to follow through with his orders. Appears to care in person but uncaring if he is not present.

Nervous about this doc.having ablation next week .

250 dollars for visit and he spent 3 minutes with me in the office

I recently had cardiac ablation by Dr. McKenzie, and it was horrible. It hurt the entire time while he was doing the procedure and I expressed over and over again that I was in pain and he did nothing. I even said that I was going to pass out and he said with a sneer "no you won't." When you have cardiac ablation you are in a totally vulnerable position and he was almost pathologically sadistic in his ambivolence. When I was back up in the room and he literally popped came in for all of 35 seconds to tell us that "he'd done it." My husband was asking him a question and he was actually texting on his cell phone and looked up and said, "what did you say something." Then he left the room. This man should not be practicing medicine and if you value your life and your sanity never go to Dr. McKenzie or to Glendale Memorial Hospital. If I could have given him a -5, I would have done so, but this was not an option and I want everyone to know exactly how poor this man is as a doctor and… as a human being!
