Dr. John J Mcnerney JR., MD

For more than a year, I sought medical help from Dr. McNerney, experiencing the same troubling symptoms. Despite conducting numerous basic tests, he overlooked the one crucial examination that could have revealed the underlying issue. Surprisingly, it was my primary doctor who finally ordered a HIDA scan, which unequivocally showed that my Gallbladder was completely dysfunctional. I couldn't fathom why a gastrointestinal specialist like Dr. McNerney had failed to consider this diagnostic procedure. He seemed convinced that my condition was merely a simple matter, offering dietary advice that proved ineffective in alleviating my suffering. Consequently, I was forced to take a leave of absence from work and apply for disability benefits. It was incredibly frustrating that Dr. McNerney never delved deeper into the root cause of my ailment, dismissing it as a basic diagnosis. If only he had conducted a HIDA scan from the beginning, it would have saved me an immense amount of time, money,… and unnecessary agony.

Dr. Mcnerney is, IMO, not a competent, professional OR an ethical Doctor. I went to him with several abdominal symptoms, including pain and distension/boating. Mcnerney refused to even examine me, he ONLY wanted to to the Big Dollar colonoscopy, even though he agreed that my symptoms could not be related to anything a colonoscopy would reveal. I told him that I could not, given my abdominal discomfort, hold down the large volume of the colonoscopy prep he recommended, but he refused to consider ANY alternatives. I later requested an appointment with Dr. Hanna, another gastro in Mcnerney's practice, but the craven Mcnerney refused to allow it, and the equally craven Hanna went along with it! Yes, as a colonoscopy technician, I believe Mcnerney is probably competent, but as a Physician (who took an oath) and a person, he is a failure... AVOID this practice, there are good reasons they are not very busy!

I left his office feeling like a project to be processed; no sense of interest or caring for my wellbeing; no meaningful discussion about my about my condition or an alternate remedy to my present regimen. I found his denigrating remarks about my previous Dr. to be unethical. I don't expect more than what his "Patient's Right's" claim to offer "respect and consideration" I left feeling neither had been extended. Very impressed with himself.

This was my second procedure of this type, but the first with Dr. McNerney, and it could not have gone smoother. I was out in a short time, well taken care of, feeling completely well - and able to consume a solid and much appreciated lunch! Thanks so much, doctor and nursing staff!

I was referred to Dr. McNerney by my treating physician, who said that Dr. McNerney had an excellent reputation. He added that his patients who were treated by Dr. McNerney had nothing but good things to say about him. I made an appointment with Dr. McNerney and found him to be very friendly and interested in my case. He took the time to review my medical history and explained in detail the colonoscopy which was recommended for me. Yesterday, I had the colonoscopy, and it went as scheduled and afterward, Dr. McNerney took the time to explain the results. My impression - from having seen and visited many physicians over the years - is that Dr. McNerney and his office are very professional and truly interested in their patients. I would certainly recommend him to anyone in need of gastrointestinal services.

I WAS SO COMFORTABLE WITH DR. McNERNEY. HE GAVE ME VERY GOOD AND INFORMATIVE INFORMATION REGARDING THE PROCEDURE, TOOK GOOD CARE OF ME. SUCH A PLEASANT, AND VERY IN DETAILED DOCTOR.

Can not say enough positive stuff about this place, everyone is friendly from the time you walk in the door. All staff upfront at check in are informative and helpful, the 3 nurses and assistant that helped during my procedure made me feel comfortable. Dr. McNearney explained the procedure, took my fears away and everyone went above and beyond. Highly recommend!

I have had 2 colonoscopies and my husband has had 3 I think from Dr McNerney. He is a great doctor, professional and the staff is nice too. Highly recommended.

They have a nice facility, easy parking, friendly waiting area for waiting family, WiFi to help pass the time, very courteous staff, very kind, friendly people, caring Dr. explained everything. I would definitely recommend Dr. McNerney and his staff. It seems to be a well run organization.
