Dr. John J Meidl, MD

Dr. Meidl is very caring and trustworthy. He calls me back when I call his office with a health concern. He is truly an expert and is the reason why I would never move from Milwaukee. I feel blessed that he is my doctor.

Arrogant pompous idiot. Not only did he spend my first appointment betting my husband that my ortho was wasting his time, delayed putting in orders for further testing for 2 days, but after being proven wrong expressed the inconveinince it was for him to see me on his day off to treat a massive staph infection in my spine. Then ignoring my severe medication allergy put together a treatment plan that could have had severe consequences. Thankfully it did not get implemented. Then 5 days later finally prescribed me what I thought to be an appropriate a medication for my infection after waiting the weekend for insurance to deny a $10k prescription. Only to thankfully seek a second opinion and find out the medication I have been taking for the last 2 weeks to treat this staph infection in my SPINE that he didnt want to follow up on for a MONTH my infection came back as being resistant to the medication... he obviously had the information because my new doctor got it with the rest of my… records. No phone call or follow up to even try to change medication or anything!!! Anyone who needs an infectious disease doctor in Milwaukee please do yourself a favor and AVOID this guy!!!
