Dr. John Brennan Meiser, MD

This doctor has a history of being hot tempered about things in front of patients. Also does not seem competent, in my opinion, to handle patients that have anything more than mild asthma (if asthma is why you want to see him) or moderate allergies. He could handle allergies as long as they are not life threatening. However, there are doctors that are more experienced in effectively treating allergies or asthma. He does not seem very knowledgable about all forms of treatments, medications. This is all just my opnion, however, he can be quite a jerk when he gets frustrated, and even if he were equipped to handle all types of asthma/allergies (which, in my own opinion, I don't believe he is for some cases), he isn't someone who I would recommend simply due to his occasional hot/rude temper and his lack of thoroughness when busy with other patients. He used to be better but I believe his practice has grown too much, for the same quality of care that used to happen, take place. This is… just my opinion but in hindsight I would have given myself the gift of finding a great doctor that really could treat me with compassion and be knowledgeable about how to best treat my allergies.

The doctor did very little to help.Him questioning me was more like interrogating, like he was trying to catch me lying. He didn't care for the other doctor's opinion, like they knew nothing at all.He took one quick look at me and was sure I had no allergies because I didn't fit the "allergy person" profile, my symptoms and complaints didn't matter to him.The visit was very uncomfortable and I couldn't wait to leave.Oh yes, I did the skin test with two different immunologists just to be sure, and both found a bunch of allergies in me.What does that tell you.

Dr. Meiser was wonderful; he was very thorough in listening to my problems, and his treatment plan for my allergies REALLY helped. I can breathe for the first time in months! His staff was really nice too. I would gladly recommend him (and actually already have) to my friends and family.
