Dr. John Richard Melnick, MD

excellent diagnostition, very personable one of the best internal medicine physicians in the area, espetiaslly for older patients

Dr. Melnick listens and hears what I haveto say. He is a conservative doctor who only perscribes what is necessary. I am fortunate to be his patient.

I have been a patient for many years (20+) and have come to truly value Dr. Melnick for his expertise, professionalism, and caring. He always spends as much time as *I* need, even if it puts him behind a little on his schedule. That's why I don't mind when he's a little late with my appointment ... I know he's doing the same for another patient and, if needs be, he'll do likewise for me.

Overall experience was negative. For a gerantologist, level of expertise in this area was poor. Dealing with folks who are losing their memory significantly was poor. One would think this is an area this type of Dr. should be familiar with. Talks down to people passively.Very bad in communication with Mom's specialists and family--lots of stress for family. Family had to ask for hospice, was not recommended by Doctor at all. Same pretty much goes for Dr.'s partner. Very disappointing, heartbreaking experience.
