Dr. John E Mengelberg

Dr. Mengelberg graduated from the University of Louisville School of Dentistry, May 1981. Prior to studying dentistry, he attended as an undergraduate the University of Louisville on an Academic scholarship. He was one of three receipiants of over 2000 applicants to be admitted as an early admissions student to the class of 1981. Dr. Mengelberg has been practicing for over 29 years. He has been in his current location for over 17 years. Since he began practicing dentistry, Dr. Mengelberg has kept up to date on many continuing educational classes, ensuring that his patients receive the most comprehensive and advanced dental care. He has successfully completed many State and National Boards, obtaining the status of the top five percent on the part two of the National Board of Dental Examinations. He has trained extensively in the field of implant dentistry beginning 1985 and has successfully completed numerous cases over the last 25 years. Cosmetic dentistry was always a passion and …that interest played a major role in his relocation to Flordia in 1992. His years of practice in the outskirts of Nashville, Tennesse, required him to become very well versed in many specalized services of dentistry due to the lack of skilled specalists. He offers a broad range of services and works in conjunction with the leaders in dentistry to ensure that his patients receive the best possible outcomes. He currently is a member of the American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, West Coast Dental Association, Sarasota County Dental Association, having served as Second Vice President, First Vice President, President Elect, and President. Also a charter member of the Florida Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and a frequent delegate to the annual "Dentist Day on the Hill" in Tallahassee, Florida. Dr. Mengelberg strives to promote the professionalism of dentistry and cutting edge care for his patients.
