My kids love him!

Dr. Mitchiner is the best pediatrician we've ever seen. Being in the military with 3 kids & moving around, we've seen a lot. I like that he's very clear on what's going on, he get to the bottom of any problem, he's always accurately diagnosed our kids. He engages the parents and the kids well. He is very engaged with his families and I felt like he always went above and beyond.

Have nothing but great things to say about this man as a doctor and professional. Surprised by the negative reviews as he always has been fantastic with my children and myself! Highly recommend! Sounds like some people on here overreact and like to slander others. Its a shame only those with negative things to say will post because I wouldn't trust my children's care to anyone else!

Dr Mitchiner, has been the only physician who has been a positive integration with the medical establishments in Sumter. With my 5 children he has been nothing but professional and detailed with my children's care. I have a child with minor special needs and Dr. Mitchiner has treated him with great respect, and worked beyond the office hours to help us find him a specialist that would accept our insurance. In 12 years of having children I have never had a physician call personally after hours to check on a patient. Dr Mitchiner has done this twice. Also as far as his bedside manner, I have 5 children and he has never hesitated to see them at once, even when the front office say's no, he has never showed unprofessionalism when all the children are in the office. I am surprised at other comments, he is truthful and straightforward speaking, so if the shoe fits you should wear it! If you want your child taken care of then maybe you should take things less personal, if your child… needs phyc care he is not going to tell you are crazy, but if you act irresponsible you can expect to get treated accordingly. A physician deserves the same respect you would like.

Shattered someone into many pieces. Didn't see if that person was on the autism spectrum. What happens to these kind of kids when they grow up?

I have a set of twin boy's that will be 10 years old at the end of Jan. Dr. Mitchiner has been their doctor since they were born and has been nothing but professional and kind. I now have a six month old seeing him and there was no question as to whether he would be his primary doctor. I trust his opinion 100%. Sumter needs more doctors like him.

I am shocked by Dr. Mitchiner's reviews. My son's and several of my friend's children see Dr. Mitchiner and we all have nothing but positive things - if not that the wait can be long. He remembers everything about my children and asks how my husband's work is going every time I see him. His bedside manner with both children is great. He has a daughter the same age as my son and knows how to get them to warm up. He answers all of my questions and is always thorough. I definitely recommend Dr. Mitchiner. Especially if you have young children.

He is an excellent Dr, he talked to me about my sons health problems and spent time with me explaining things to me, that I didn't know as a first time mother.
