Dr. John Everett Moore, MD

My experience with Dr. Moore was one of the most pleasant and informative I have ever had with a doctor. He explained the situation and his recommended treatment plan in detail and in terms I understood. Not only was the experience with Dr. Moore pleasant, his staff is very friendly, professional and knowledgeable.

My mother came from California to have Dr. Moore do her lung cancer surgery . In California they told her to go home and die . Dr. Moore operated on her and she survived . We owed her life to him .

He did my husbands esopagectomy 2years ago and we have had nothing but complications since. He is not a very compassionate dr. If something goes wrong, when you ask questions he immediately says "as we previously discussed" when you have never talked about it. Confront him on that and he will brush it off. He says one thing one day and then changes his story the next time. Told us we were cancer clear when pathology report said it wasn't. He seems to be confused at times. He will not apologize for any mistakes and blames the patient. I guess if all goes well with your surgery you have no problems with him but watch out if it does.

Dr. Moore "initially" came across as very caring and interested in my cancer. He sold me a good game. However, once he gained my business he changed his attitude and personality immediately. Being diagnosed with cancer was a very stressful and life changing time for me. He got mad that he had to spend additional time consulting me. All I wanted was some reassurance. He got arrogant and acted like I was an inconvience to him once surgery was booked. He was only looking for an extra dollar and was so rude after surgery. If you are looking for a compassionate Dr who will spend time addressing your concerns and questions, this is 100% not the Dr for you. Bad attitude.

I cannot thank Dr. Moore and his staff enough for being so thorough and compassionate during the difficult process of contemplating lung cancer. I felt greatly cared for and informed about my options. The staff, such as Denette, worked diligently at scheduling all of my tests as quickly as possible. Thanks again to Dr. Moore and his team for all that was done for me.

I would not recommend him to my worst enemy.

Stay away from Dr. Moore. He is the worst thoracic surgeon ever. He will screw you up like he did one of my family members and never take responsibility. He is very rude and disrespectful. A real disgrace to the medical profession.

Dr. John E. Moore and all the nurses and support staff are the kindest and most caring professionals a patient could ever hope for! They take the time needed to answer any and all questions and are always so kind, caring, and supportive!

As a 32 year old, I was in such shock when I found out I had a mass on my lung. Dr. Moore's staff booked me an appointment with him one hour after I called. After my first visit, I knew it was a true blessing that I was in their care. They made me feel like their number priority. Denette and Crystal were always very encouraging and compassionate when I needed it the most- during office visits and when they were returning my many calls. Dr. Moore and his team were amazing! Within 1 month of my initial call to the office, I had MANY test, had the lung cancer and lower left lung removed, spent 5 days in the hospital, had all my test results back from surgery, and was home enjoying my little girl's first birthday without a heavy heart. Dr. Moore and his team were able to comfort me through the most difficult time of my life. I could never thank them enough!

I was referred to Dr. Moore almost 10 years ago after receiving a diagnosis of esophageal cancer. Following 6 months of chemotherapy and radiation, Dr. Moore performed an transthoracic esophogastrectomy removing most of my esophagus and about 25% if my stomach.The prognosis for esophageal cancer is not very good. Dr. Moore and my medical and radiation oncologists saved my life.
