Dr. John Edward Morrison, MD

Dr. Morrison was is horrible. He looked at his notes from my prior visit (2 years before) and prescribed ibuprofen. When I told him the pain was different he said " see you in 3 weeks." Went to another orthopedist the same day and was diagnosed with cancer. Morrison didn't even look at my back. Stay away from him. Don't trust him! I'm lucky I didn't listen to him. Oh this was prior to covid - I thank the second orthopedist every day!!!!

Not even half a star! Went to see Dr Morrison with extremely serve back pain - he looked at my x-rays from more than 2 years ago and said "oh it's the same". Refused to take new x-rays or do an MRI - prescribed Ibuprofen which I had already taken (with no results) and told me to come back in 3 weeks. Went to another orthopedist the same day - he took x-rays saw something suspicious - the MRI confirmed it and ordered a CAT scan - I am finally getting the treatment a real doctor should give. When I asked Morrison's office to forward the x-rays from 2017 to my primary care doctor or to upload the results into the Northwell portal - his office declined and told me I had to pay $15. They told me Dr. Morrison's report is uploaded - I said yes, but what if it is WRONG - what good is the report? HORRIBLE situation for my family - love Dr. Nicholas Sgaglione in that practice but personally, Dr. Morrison will never see anybody from my family.

Horrible doctor, zero care for patient’s well-being and healing. He didn’t take my pain seriously. He’s only interested in prescribing medication so he can reap the profit from the pharma companies.

I looked up to see if Doctor Morrison was still practicing Medicine as he had performed surgery on both my arms in 1983 and to my surprise he was. This is a long overdue thank you that should have been made many years ago to Dr Morrison. I came into North Shore University Hospital after having been involved in a fatal car accident on the L.I.E. I came in having compound fractures in both arms, broken collar bone and ribs and other life threatening injuries. Dr Morrison performed surgery on both arms and thanks to his amazing skills both arms which required plates have never had a problem. I am a Lineman and I have a physically demanding job using my arms to do my work but I have always felt that I owe this incredible Doctor my life because having use of your arms is everything and You would never know the severity of my injuries due to how skillful his repair on my arms were. Dr Morrison performed surgery on a young woman of 21 who is now a 57 year old woman who has never forgotten… this man who I feel saved my arms and life. I just always wanted him to know how he has impacted one persons life during his long career. Thank you Doctor Morrison, Sondra Perrone

I took my daughter to see him for scoliosis pain. He never made eye contact with me, or my daughter and kept talking over me when I tried to tell him about her pain. He didn't care and was in a rush to finish. He told her to take warm showers at night like she's never tried this before. He refused to give us a note for the school nurse so that my daughter could have a little extra time between classes to stop at her locker so she wouldn't have to carry a heavy backpack filled with books the entire day. Even the school nurse said she's never heard of a scoliosis doctor not giving a note for this simple request that would help her. I have never written a review before but felt so strongly about the incompetence of this doctor.

REPULSIVE!!!!! This doctor (if that's what he calls himself) gets ZERO stars from me. He refused to listen to me or even physically assessed my pain. He was rude, disrespectful and highly unprofessional. I was in desperate need of care and trusted his facility, but I should have read these reviews before scheduling an appointment. He blatantly denied that I was in pain - he told me what I was feeling was not pain -- I was shocked! He turned a deaf ear when I told him that my physical therapy was helping. Instead, he told me that I don't need it, don't go back and don't even ask him for a referral because he doesn't do that. If there were any way to discredit this doctor professionally I would.

wish i had read these before i made the appointment - everyone who said he doesn't listen - is 1000% accurate.

I came to this doc bc someone suggested i go. This was a no fault case. I am a active heavy person and just dismissed me with my pain amd said i needed to loose weight. He is not a sympathetic doctor. He refused to fill out papers that i asked him to fill out as did his secratery refuse. He told me to rest and not go to PT yet 3 other doctors told me thats what i should be doing. He said many contradicting statments and would never go back to see him. He thinks i was lying about my pain and was very dismissive.

Dr. Morrison has an incredibly awkward bedside manner and was extremely unhelpful is helping us uncover the real reason for my daughter's neck and back pain.
