Felt more like an interrogation then a consultation,this man was rude condescending and rolled his eyes like a child a few times while staring at his phone as if I was bothering him.asked why he had an attitude as I was explaining why I was in to see him,as he continued to be rude and unprofessional I had to stop him a second time to ask why He was being rude as he looked agitated like I was wasting his time.so after a few choice words for him I got up and walked out,rather deal with the pain in my side then get treated like this from someone I was seeking help from and thought was a professional!!steer clear at all cost,between the old falling apart dirty depressing office and the unprofessional care and rude doctors this place is a zero!!!!

Took more time than any doctor I have seen in years. Explained what and why he was doing the tests ordered. Doctor and not his staff returned my call.

I have been a patient for almost 10 years I find Dr. Morton to be very caring and has time to talk and explain everything to me

Made an appointment to see Dr. Morton after a friend recommended him. I could not be happier. The doctor is friendly and very knowledgeable. He took the time to listen to my symptoms and offered several different treatment options. He even followed up with a phone call to discuss my report with me. You don't see that too often anymore. What impressed me the most was that he really took the time during our initial visit to listen to my concerns and try to figure out what would be the best options for me. I would highly recommend this physician and this practice to my family and friends.

I am so happy I saw this doctor because he help me with my problems, he has excellent bed manners, he care about his patients, and he does everything he can to find out what is wrong with you, very happy with the staff members, very courteous and helpful.

Had my first colonoscopy. Made me feel comfortable. Explained all findings when we finished. Great overall experience including all the staff.

Bedside manner of ???

This doctor is the worst most arrogant GI doctor that I have encountered and did absolutely nothing to help me and I went to him only because my dad saw another doctor in this same practice but at their west orange location. My dad wasn't satisfied with that doctor who also seems to have poor ratings, astonishingly as almost ALL the doctors I have either have read derivative reviews about , oddly enough, except for a Dr Wallace but the only one at this multi-location practice that has a patient recognition award and good bedside manner among other things a good doctor ought to be. This doctor had the gall to ask WHY have I been to SO MANY other GI doctors! Obviously, none of the others were any better or the few who did have compassion for their patients or me and weren't dismissive of my chronic and severe constipation and digestive and motility issues, etc; weren't able to help me and since 2011 as a patient at this practice, my symptoms have become progressively worse to the point I… do not have normal stool consistency and literally cannot have a bowel movement now unless I take a fleet enema, since nothing else I've tried the past 5 years roughly , including prokinetic drug Reglan which has serious side effects as do most of the prokinetic or motility drugs do unfortunately. The fact is this doctor left me in limbo after doing both a Colonoscopy and EGD in 2016. In any event, I am worse off since he did the procedures and back to square one, and get severely impacted and he has the nerve to ask me WHY I have seen so many other doctors over the course of several yrs mind you. It's not like I went to 4 -5 GI docs for second opinions in such a short time. I was told by my other doctor that John Morton is a brilliant doctor and if so, he NEEDS to go back to Med School and take a course in bedside manners, and he should listen to his proactive patients a bit more and not be so dismissive of our input. After all, we know our own bodies and when things are just not right and when they have become progressively worse despite a near normal Colonoscopy and EGD. He should have worked me up further with motility and manometry studies? I don't get it! I have a bigger problem than "suspected" IBS-C Dr Morton and you were paid handsomely for only 2 procedures you did on me but why you stopped their baffles me.

ok doc but office staff is not helpful in any way. they could care less about patients.

This doctor is very knowledgeable about all aspects of his specialty. knows more than the averge Gastroenterologist about diet that works for IBS and is very up-to-date. HOWEVER, he is a bit too flippant for me. He turns on a dime, from very concerned to making e responses that look down on the patient; as though the patient is unintelligent and should defer to his authority
