Pain meds protocol was discontinued without advance notice or discussion!!

I am fully satisfied with Dr. Motto's patient care. I have not had any problems with Dr. Motto and HIGHLY recommend him as a pain doctor. I have been with Dr Motto approximately 20 years.

I have not visited Dr. Motto in 5 yrs. he is one of the best Pain MNGT doctors in SC, so I requested to see him again. Trying to schedule an appointment with him was the WORSE experience EVER. His staff was NOT GOOD. The person who schedules was AWFUL! If Dr. Motto wasn't such a good doctor I would find somewhere else to go. Once I see Dr. Motto I will let him know of my frustration with his staff. My experience so far with his staff ( just on the phone) is discouraging and have me seeking another pain MNGT doctor. Hopeful Dr Motto is still the same good doctor he was before.....the staff not good!

so far so good pain varies but yet to find the veryproblem or what make it ticks maybe a another year im 44 im running out of time solve the puzzle and let me live

You think he cares, but after you go for a while, he stops caring. Won't allow you to call and bother anyone. Weird

Dr. Motto is the greatest doctor I have ever seen. Went above and be on for me. Would recommend him to anyone.

I have been seeing Dr. Motto for a year. Dr. Motto is funny, caring, understanding, thorough, and just wonderful. The first visit was a bit longer than any follow-up visits because of all the history they have to gather. The visits since that time have been about 15 to 20 minutes long with Dr. Motto himself and the entire time spent in the office is about 45. Of course, there are times when they may be running behind and that is to be expected from time to time but it isn't common with them. They work with me when I have to reschedule appointments without difficulty. All staff I have met are wonderful; there is still one person in the office I have not met but they work in the back without much (if any) interaction with the patients. The office staff is on first name basis with all patients. I cannot tell you how many times I have seen other patients bringing flowers, fruit baskets, gift baskets, or other gifts for the entire office. That just shows you how wonderful everyone thinks… that they are. The first visit with Dr. Motto I told him that I wasn't sure why I was in so much pain. I didn't know what it was called because it had never been explained to me. He immediately pulled out the diagrams and 3-D models and gave the exact names of the problems/diseases. As I said above, he is funny but not overly funny. He knows when to be serious. As with any doctor, they get the job done and leave but if you ask for more information and need to keep his attention for longer than normal, he never rushes out. He will continue to be there until you are satisfied. I will definitely follow him from practice to practice as needed, although I hope that never happens because I don't want to lose the office staff anymore than I want to lose Dr. Motto.FYI, because of the nature of the practice, you should expect routine drug tests. That is normal with this type of practice and you have to sign a form during the first visit agreeing to these tests. They are to ensure that you are not drug-seeking. Don't be offended by these tests. I have seen reviews of people complaining of this, but it's routine.

Lack of compassion, empathy and understanding. Told him that I don't like drugs would rather have pain source diagnosed. His response was, well I have had to learn to take meds for seizures or something like that, you will just have to learn to manage your pain with drugs.Too almost 3 mos to get my FMLA and short term disability paperwork filled out and filled out correctly. The excuse I was given by Dr Motto himself was well when it was showed to me it was 8:30 am and you know... So now that my bills haven't been able to get paid in over 2 months, my credit I worked so hard to rebuild after my divorce has gone in the toilet! DO NOT GO SEE THIS DOCTOR for anything!

I was a patient of Dr Motto's for almost 2 years. He and his staff showed great care and personal attention to me and I would highly recommend him.

A. Dr. Motto takes a careful assessment of your pain issues.B. A professional who is knowledgeable about medications (something many doctors fail to know enough about).C. He will review and re-review effects of medications for me until we find the best solution.D. Easy to talk to him on your own personal level and he listens.E. NEVER try to lie or take advantage of good service. Always practice being honest and ALWAYS tell the truth. He doesn't have time for games.F. Thankfully blessed to have him as my personal pain doctor.
