One of the most obnoxious doctors you’ll ever come across in your life. Doesn’t examine you makes you feel bad doesn’t let you talk never available it’s mine boggling that he actually works for Sloan Kettering Doesn’t let you have an edge worth and he’s never available. Sloan Kettering should fire him!!!!!!!!!

Dr. John Mulhall is extremely arrogant and has the worst bedside manner I have ever experienced at MSKCC. His interactions were cold, rude, and he had zero compassion. He offered poor suggestions regarding lifestyle care due to his disinterest to understand me or my medical history. I will absolutely never be back to see this awful doctor.

This doctor says he has a cold in order to not shake your hand. Ok fine but he doesn’t remember you either so will say he has a cold like 4times until you just get that he just doesn’t shake hands . He may have been a good doc at one point earlier in his career but now he his success has made him dismissive and not treating with a individual care style. I have breast tissue now due to me treatment (I’m male) due to his dismissive style and time he took to level my treatment. Staff follow up and communication between the nurse staff and scheduling staff is bad so expect mistakes. Know your own treatment because they have a disconnect. You will speak to his nurse practitioners way more than him and he will not perform and prostate checks on you ( the finger test) although that is a concern of some of the treatment he administers. He is knowledgeable and always has some newbie doc with him putting in their fellowship or something but the plan and treatment is more so to just get you out… and if there is anything else’s needed from any side affects of his treatment he will not even suggest another doc . He will give advice on what to look for then you are on your own to find the treatment doc for it. Even for a prostate exam, and he is a urologist, who doesn’t do them.

Don't expect a lot of contact with the DR JOHN Mulhall himself. Most of the care comes from his fellows and nurse practitioners. His nurse practitioner is female so if you are uncomfortable with that this doctor is not for you since he will not schedule you with a male NP even if you request it.

Don't even bother wasting your time to see this total fool. He will completely discount your condition, which I had immediately recognized and treated for by another, highly competent physician. He has zero compassion or care for his patients, most likely due to the myriad of personal issues (shocker there) I have heard he deals with from doctors in his circle. He did not even bother to fully understand the history of my complaint to lead to the right diagnosis. I would highly recommend no matter who sends you to him that you stay far, far away.

This doctor has a disdainful manner to talk to patients. Lack of patience and always in a rush to kick you out of his office. Human touch is missing in his treatment. He helped me? Yes - mostly through his nurse practitioners. He offered the pellets treatment for my low testosterone... the procedure felt like if he was stuffing a a turkey instead of inserting small pellets on my side. His nurse practitioner couldn't even get the dressing in place covering the wound - in such a way that I had to buy more transparent dressing on my own to cover the incision that was not originally covered. Needless to say I do not recommend this doctor. If you need testosterone treatment go to Weill Cornell Medical Center and see one of their endocrinologists who are top rated, super busy but real humans. Mulhall's staff is also far from helpful. Compared to other staff members throughout the hospital this office is the bottom of the pit. The rest of the staff at MSKCC are awesome - I love the… phlebotomists who are always busy but always with a smile in their face!
