I was born and grew up in Saigon, Vietnam. My family and I escaped from the communism of Vietnam and came to the United States in 1980, when I was a teenager. I spent my high school years and undergraduate studies in Southern California before moving to Kansas for medical school, then returned to Southern California for residency, and have stayed here ever since. I live in Westminster, near the area called Little Saigon. I love to run, swim, and play tennis.
