Dr. John Douglas Nisbet II, MD

He deserves more than 5 stars. I have been a patient of Dr. Nisbet for over 20 years. He delivered all 3 of my children c section and tubal ligation. He has a great bedside manner , cares about his patients, professional, he is thorough. I wish he could be my pcp even although he can not. I didn't worry during my c-sections because I knew I was in the best hands. My healing time even having my 3rd child at age 40 was far greater than I thought it would be because he was my doctor. I listen to any medical advice he has given and I have been better for it in my life. Thank you Dr. Nisbet for your greatness ?? ??

I've just had a total hysterectomy done by Dr Nisbet. The surgery went so well. Dr Nisbet proved once again his professionalism, plus he has very good bed side manners. While in the hospital he came to check on me twice every day. I heard he's also a doctor on call. A doctor that puts his pacients before his family can't be but one of the most caring, compassionate and professional doctors. Thank you, Dr. J. Douglas Nisbet for investing your life in ours. Dr. Nisbet and his beloved father have been in my family for many many years, him and his staff are always pleasant and welcoming. I have been a patient of his for 32 years from the ages of 13 to 45 now and still plan on going there . My entire family on my mothers side including my daughter an daughter in law have been going to him and his father for years. He is by far the best Dr. I have come in contact with my entire life. He’s is a very caring genuine dr. He has never let me down and also has given me the best of care. I have had some major issues and also minor and he been nothing short of wonderful. He has gotten me through a lot of tough times . He has delivered my beautiful children, put up with my outbursts an sat with me when I was terrified of the surgery I was facing. Between his excellent bedside manner and the phone calls while he’s on vacation to check to see if I was ok after surgery. I am forever grateful to have him on my health care team to make sure that I’m… always ok. Thanks so much for everything you do and always being there . Much love to you, your staff and family…. Very good doctor. Always pleasant, takes the time to explain things and answer questions patiently. Very kind and has a sense of calm that is very reassuring.

Dr. Nisbet was my doctor way back in 1989 while my husband was in the Navy and we lived in Adak Alaska! He is the best doctor ever. We lived so far away from everything and this was also our first baby. He was so knowledgeable , caring and compassionate. I wish he could have delivered our other daughter to. We have nothing but fond memories of that time in our life thanks to Dr. Nisbet.

Dr. Nisbet is a caring efficient dr. He always answers my questions, or explains things well enough that i won't have any. Always curtious and compassionate. Been going to him for about 5 years. Helped me thru a difficult late term miscarraige, (18 weeks) and delivered my 4th and final child, and did my tubal ligation. See him yearly for my annual, and it always goes smoothly.

Dr Nisbet is an excellent doctor!!! I was so nervous when it was my first time being seen by an ob/gyn. I didn't know what to expect especially hearing horror stories from my friends who have been there before. Dr Nisbet cared about my feelings and comfort and took his time with the examination! He prescribed me my birth control and I have had no problems with it and it's perfect for me. I told him I didn't want to gain wait from it and I wanted a light hormone and that was exactly what he gave me, I have had no complaints yet. He always answers all of my questions and always puts me, my comfort and my health first. My mother recommended him to me because his father was her doctor. I would recommend him to anyone! He is an excellent doctor!

Very uncomfortable. I went in as an emergency as I will feeling very ill for days. My usual check ups are with nurse practitioner Beth Vollucci (whom I like very much)but she was not available. Dr. Nisbet is very cold and unsympathetic. Went through the motions like a robot and did not fully answer questions I asked. He accused me of being not careful and thought I may have an STD. I told him that it is not possible (hence why I'm writing this review because I'm a mature, professional woman and have been in committed relationship for 4 years). To top the exam off, at the end, and I quote, "if you're breasts ever hurt, call me." Seriously! What doctor says that?! After all is said and done I get a bill in the mail saying he tested me for SEVERAL stds. I told him during the exam that it was not possible but yet never told me that was what he was testing for. Result a huge bill. I called the office and explained my situation and they explained that it was normal and to not feel bad and… that they would tell Dr. Nisbet to better disclose what he is testing for. I'm guessing probably nothing was said. It was the worst exam I have ever experienced and Dr. Nisbet made me feel like I was dirty and like he was above me. I will never ask for an exam by him again. After all is said and done, I never got test results back and of course,something I already knew, my illness had nothing to do with STDs after I finally had to call the office.

Dr. Nisbet is a great and wonderful Doctor.
