Dr. John Anthony Nolan, MD

I have been to Dr Nolan's office several times. It was easy to get an appointment, and my time preferences were honored. On arrival the receptionist was pleasant and professional. I waited in the office less than 10 minutes to be taking into an exam room and checked over by the nurse. The wait to actually see the doctor was very brief, 5 minutes at most. Dr Nolan spend over 45 minutes with me, taking time to get a detailed medical history and asking me lots of questions to clarify my answers. When he was done he asked me to tell him in my own words why I was there, and what problems I had, and if there were any questions about my medications. He was exceptionally thorough not only in his questioning but in his explanations of my conditions and the purposes of my medications. The thing that impressed me most was that Dr Nolan dictated his report in my presence and asked me if each entry agreed with what we discussed. The fact that Dr Nolan is a nice guy and very friendly… was an added bonus :)

My wife has been a patient for a while and has been quite pleased with the ease of contacting the doctor and getting questions answered by staff. My first visit went quite well. I was seen promptly, there was no delay or confusion being taken on as a new patient, and the doctor saw me almost immediately after I was taken to an exam room. In addition to being a really nice guy, which, I suppose, is not really a requirement of a good doctor, Dr Nolan took my history and listened - actually listened - to what I was saying. When I was not clear in my answer a question, he asked pertinent questions to develop the information that he needed. When he was done with the questions, he asked me about any questions I had for him, about either my health or medications or cardiac care in general. All told Dr Nolan spent almost 45 minutes with me, and left me feeling… that he actually understood my situation and background and would be taking excellent care of me. Right before the visit was over Dr Nolan dictated a report of the visit into his laptop, giving me a chance to confirm or comment on the information. THIS is what a medical visit should look like, and I only wish my other providers could approach that level of patient service and understanding. On the way out Judy gave me my next appointment, no muss, no fuss. In summary - excellent doctor, excellent staff, excellent experience.

This man and his office are the most heartless useless people in the area when it comes to medical care. They care more about getting new patients rather than taking care of their existing patients and good luck if you develop serious complications or your health care needs change.
