Dr. John David Obrien

Going off personal beliefs the Dr. refused to treat our six month old baby 10 minutes prior to appointment because he was not vaccinated, and said we had to go to the ER because he would not treat him because he wasn’t vaccinated

We would not recommend this doctor. We were also charged twice for one visit. This was for our daughter's wellness exam, which is covered under our insurance. During the routine exam, Dr. O'Brien identified an ear infection that we were unaware of and simply wrote a prescription. We were then charged for an expanded visit on top of the covered wellness exam. We had already found Dr. O'Brien condescending and abrasive. While we like the other doctors at this practice, we are considering finding a new pediatrician solely because of Dr. O'Brien.

Absolutely do not recommend. Our child has multiple life-threatening food allergies. We had to remind Dr. O'Brien about the allergies on every visit. When I reviewed my child's file, his complete list of allergens, IgE antibody test results, and peanut component test results were not even in the file. Dr. O'Brien was unable to answer basic questions related to our child's allergies and did not appear to take the allergies, or the risks associated with them, seriously.

I will avoid this doctor in the future. John D. O'Brien is arrogant and demeaning. We have had to see him several times when other doctors in this practice were not available and he does not listen to parent concerns. His billing practices are questionable. According the our insurance we were charged for two office visits for the same appointment.
