Caring, attuned professional. Very thankful.

Dr Pastor has had trouble clearly communicating information about my son in the past, and his manner has at times been offensive and unprofessional. I wouldn't recommend him in the future.

I am a licensed clinical social worker of 20+ years. I choose my daughter's psychiatric care extremely carefully and am aware of what to look for in a doctor. I actually referred one or two young people to Dr. Pastor from my private practice secondary to his credentials and excellent reputation. When my 8 year old daughter needed to see a psychiatrist for deep separation anxiety, high level ADHD, and attachment issues, I didn't hesitate to call Dr. Pastor in the hopes that I could get her in as a patient. My daughter is now 19 years old and we both still see Dr. Pastor. I say we, because he has helped me be a more effective parent, helped our relationship thrive, assisted the "empty nest" emotions I have and thanks to him, we are building a new and stronger relationship built on being two adults. There isn't room to list the issues Dr. Pastor has helped her and I through. Raising a daughter alone isn't easy and if he hadn't been a hub in our team, I don't know if we would have… ended up such good friends, so many years later. He is always available, he is there when we need him. He has given my daughter a voice of reason, a safe place, and yes, medication and she has turned out to make any mother the proudest possible. Thank you Dr. Pastor, without you on our team we certainly would have struggled far more and grown far less. I am grateful for all of the years and look forward to seeing you soon.

My child was seeing this doctor for depression. He prescribed medications rather freely. Following my child’s suicide, Dr. Pastor called us and told us that our child had been “well treated” for his illness. Instead of offering compassion during the worst time of our lives, this doctor seemed to be more worried about being sued than the loss of a wonderful teenager.

He's a good listener but put my child on a lot of medication, too much, I think. He also costs some $260/hour... might be better to find someone else.

Doctor Pastor really listens to and thinks about his patients. He's an excellent diagnostian. Easy to talk with. Incredibly good!
