My experience was also poor. He seems very knowledgeable but that gets lost in his condescending judgmental attitude. He impatiently cut me off when I was explaining an issue.

I had a shockingly similar experience like several other people have posted about in their reviews. He made me very uncomfortable when he made an inappropriate comment about my appearance. I was also interrupted and talked down to when we had a difference of opinion for my treatment.

I tried this dr. Mainly because his office is near my home but now I realize location isn't everything. I don't know if he was having a bad day or what. He seemed irritated and impatient when I asked a few questions. A couple of his replies were so sarcastic I couldn't figure out if I did something to make him angry at me. Overall an unsettling experience. I will keep looking for a better fit.

I really liked the office staff-so professional and helpful. But I don't think this doctor listened to me. After two appointments I found he was very preoccupied with his computer and cell phone for most of my appointment. Condescending and impatient when he spoke to me. Evidently I don't know my own body....baloney! I just could not take this negative tone and attitude.

I wish I had read the reviews before I saw this Dr. The office people were great. The Dr. was a different story. Very closed minded about alternative treatments.

Randomly diagnosed me, labeled me with a condition without any testing, assessment, or gathering a personal or family history that would substantiate such a diagnosis. Then once he came up with this random diagnosis, rather than begin at the conservative end of the treatment spectrum, his recommendations were extreme and reserved for cases that had not responded to conventional therapies. When I politely disagreed with his baseless diagnosis (that I had no complaints or symptoms of having) he insisted he was right. I have since found a partner in healthcare and won't be returning to this health dictator who thinks his opinion is the only one that counts!

I guess this was just not the physician for me. The treatment he suggested was very costly and experimental so there was no way my insurance would pay. When I mentioned this he just shrugged his shoulders. So I went to another doctor who offered more suitable and affordable options that were supported by evidence from medical studies and were covered by my health insurance. I had the distinct impression dr. Patz was just trying to get rid of me after I questioned him for recommending such a treatment. If that was the case, he succeeded. Its important to me that my doctor listens and values my input and that we work as a team. I did not find that experience with dr. Patz.

I have seen this doctor for several months now. At first I was very impressed with the care. He was so thorough and would take whatever time needed to listen, explain things and answer my questions. I just can't figure out what happened. Since I work, I try to get appointments early in the day and I am always punctual. For the last few visits, I have had to wait for him to arrive at the clinic. He appears unkempt and because he seems to be running late, I have lost 15 minutes of my appointment time. Since I am then left with only 15 minutes to explain my concerns, he seems very impatient and continually interrupts me, calls me by the wrong name, and even recommended a treatment for a diagnosis I do not have. I am hoping things will go back to how they were.
