Dr. John Hill Paylor, MD

Due to an assault provided by my ex, both of my rotator cuffs were severely injured. I saw Dr. Parlor at the International Drive office; he was not completely present. While doing typical RC motion assessments, he had a difficult time providing resistance. He also had a very difficult time understanding this was not a job injury. He was visibly disappointed every time I had to remind him it was not a workers comp claim. He ordered an MRI but did not provide the discussed anti-anxiety meds so the MRI failed twice. He finally sent me for imaging that includes excruciating radioactive injections, x-rays, and PET scans. I waited for 2 months for him to call with the results. I called only to be told he had left the practice and told the office he would notify patients. I have not heard from him since. All records of the tests and visits with him have vanished from my EMR. Many other problems have arisen due to his delay. SWIPE LEFT! You do not want this problem.

Dr. Paylor is a very nice doctor and a very nthoughtful person.

I’ve been getting knee injections from Dr. Paylor for 3 years. Never a problem. Always answers pertinent questions, but if you want to “shoot the breeze” best shop around.

Was referred to piedmont ortho for my shoulder injury after dr roberson said he couldnt operate on labral tears. Dr paylor barely inspected my shoulder and said to let him give a cortisone shot as his techniques are better. Well I've been in worse pain since he did and now he says there is nothing he can do for me. Read reviews ppl. Believe them people arent making them up. He is very rude

He did my knee surgery 3yrs ago for a meniscus tear.it still haven't healed.He no good

I was a first time patient of Dr Paylor. My experience was pretty consistent with other reviewers. He flew in the room, walked right past me, and rifled through my papers. It was very apparent he wasn't listening to a word I was saying. He looked at my injury for about 20 seconds, told me I needed an MRI, and flew back out of the room, no time for questions or anything. I scheduled an appointment with another doctor and will not be returning.

I had seen Dr. Paylor before, but I had a recent injury and was following up from an MRI. Dr. Paylor rushed in after waiting almost an hour and asked, "Why are you even here?". I explained and he said that there was nothing he could do and " I wouldn't even know where to begin .". He also questioned my recent accident almost as if I had made it up and there was no way he even looked at my MRI in the 3 minutes he bothered to even acknowledge me. Suffice to say, I won't be returning to him.

Some people have written that this doctor doesn't have a good bedside manner. I don't care about his bedside manner, I just want him to be a good surgeon. I don't need someone to baby me, I need a good surgeon, so I can get back to my regular activities. I will report back after the surgery.

I was sent to Dr. Paylor for a second opinion. I was only in the waiting room about 10 minutes and the exam room about 5 before seeing the Doctor. HE came in, introduced himself and looked at thr MRI results. He then showed me the MRI and explained the pictures and pointed out the problems and how He planned to fix them. He spent between 20 - 30 minutes with me and before I left He gave me a pamphlet that explained the procedure and what to expect afterward. He was very nice and professional and answered all my questions. The insurance co. has just approved the surgery. I'll update my review after it is done.
