Dr. John Thomas Pellicone, MD

Dr Pellicone took the time and energy to get to the bottom of my illness. His determination to find an answer discovered a rare condition. The condition is out of his speciality but he has always been available for any questions.

EXCEPTIONAL doctor!! He is compassionate, attentive, honest, reliable and full of energy! 5 STARS for sure!!!! Highly recommend.

DO NOT USE THIS DOCTOR...you are likely to have a heart attack dealing with his rude, disrespectful, and ignorant billing staff.

Best doctor I have ever seen

Waited a little over 30 minutes to be seen even though there was no one in waiting room. Nurse Maria took my husband in & then called for me saying she had a few questions. When I got to the room, she left , slamming the door. She would not let my husband be seen b/c he had another pulmonoligist and it would look bad for my husband to be seen, even though he has every legal right to see whichever doctor he wants. She as rude, disrespectful and condescending to both of us. I would never recommend this office. Have no idea how the doctor is...

The doctor is very good and spends time with me, and has accurately diagnosed my condition. His bedside manner is good and the wait time in his office is short. However, as noted his staff leaves much to be desired. In fact I have been told by some that they will not go to this doctor because of his staff.

Was at a follow-up visit w/ my GP, who called Dr. Pellicone to see if he could see me asap for hyperactive airways. They responded for me to "come right over". Went to the location @ Helen Hayes in Haverstraw. Filled out paperwork and was taken immediately for breathing tests (yuck). Given nebulizer and more tests by a gentle, patient and kind assistant. Dr. followed in quite shortly thereafter. He had already accessed tests which had been done @ Nyack Hospital. He went over my medical history SO thoroughly that it made me remember even more relevant details then I had initially included in the patient survey! He made me feel like the only patient he had that day. What a joy! Although I now realize I have asthma, I feel like I have a terrific Dr. who will get me through this acute episode and help me to learn how to live with this condition. Also, as I came directly from another physicians office, I did not have cash or a check with me. Dr. Pellicone does not take debit/credit cards.… The receptionist was understanding and gave me an addressed envelope to send a check. No problem. I am very happy with this initial visit and would highly recommend.

I am a patient with Stage 4 Lung Cancer. I was under the care of another Pulmonary Group for over 15 years. When I was diagnosed with Lung Cancer I switched to Dr.Pellicone. When I arrived to his office for the first time I couldn't take 3 steps on my own with out losing my breathe. I was on oxygen and never thought I would ever get off of it. After being in Dr. Pellicone's care for 6 months I was taken off of oxygen and my lungs are working well. It's 4 years since I Was diagnosed was stage 4 lung cancer and if it wasn't for Dr. Pellicone's wonderful care and his continuous contact with my Oncologist I would have never made it this far.

Doctor is excellent and professional. Good listener and answers all your questions. However, their billing department could be a little more courteous.Highly recommend doctor.
