Dr. John Gregg Petraco, MD

Dr. Petraco is the best OBGYN there is. He has a wonderful bedside manner and is a highly skilled physician. He delivered my over 9 pound son who was in a breach position. Thanks to Dr. Petraco and the wonderful hospital staff the delivery went perfectly. The care I have received from him after giving birth has also been impeccable. If you are looking for a knowledgeable, well trained, compassionate physician then look no further. I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

Dr Petraco is the most compassionate, patient , honest , caring , doctor I have ever been see by. He has gone above and beyond for me when others have just pushed off my symptoms . He spent an hour on a tele health visit with me and answered any questions I had and explained everything to the best of his ability to help me understand and calm my nerves. He is prompt when returning phone calls and you will never feel that “ rushed “ feeling at an appointment . I will never go to another gyn.

This practice is an absolute joke. They are never on time. The office is outdated and dirty. They are absurd and don’t care about patients, they only care about money. I made an appointment for my annual exam at the earliest date I could according to my insurance and my work schedule, which happened to be only THREE WEEKS away from when I called. They refused to give me one refill of my birth control to hold me over to that appointment, despite explaining to them that my insurance wouldn’t cover an annual before said date and that their availability didn’t work with mine. They are the most unaccommodating practice I’ve ever gone to. They also keep sending me bills for a service I PAID and I mailed them the receipt for. Absolute joke.

Highly recommend.. so professional and understanding.. got my surgery done by him , fast easy painless and now I can live my life happy ever after.. He is the best

This was my first experience with Dr Petraco after seeing my prior Dr for over 45 years. This appointment was to take several biopsies during a sonogram, so it wasn't the best way to meet for the first time. He was able to the samples needed quickly with minimal pain for me which was amazing. Previously when they've tried to do biopsies they had to do it surgically. I therefore must say Dr Petraco is outstanding!

Dr Petraco is a monster . He starts to treat you and if something gets to hard for him he drops you as a patient and tells you to find your own . Do not go to him if you think you have a problem or cancer

Very pleasant experience

Very professional doctor. Ladies in smithtown office are also very nice to deal with. Dr. Petraco seemed to want the best for his patient. He delivered my 2nd child and all went well. Unfortunately I was discharged with not enough meds from hospital because of on call doctor. Once I got in touch with dr. Petraco he quickly rectified the problem and made sure to speak with the on call doctor as well. He wants the best for his patients and while having a c section he will make sure the hospital has all supplies necessary to make the stay comfortable. Caring, professional person. If I have another child I will certainly request him! There should be more doctors like him out there.

BEST DOCTER EVER

Dr. Petraco is AWESOME!! His bed side manner and all, he listens to everything you have to say. I have been going to him for about 17yrs now, my Insurance company put us to another plan that did not cover him! Guess what, I look into a plan that he does take, that's how much I love this Doctor :)
