Dr. John Michael Petrich

It has been some time since I first saw Dr. John Petrich, but a member of my family is having some problems with chronic pain and related anxiety. As I am a nurse who worked in the health care community for a number of years, and also have dealt with issues of severe chronic pain, when I was asked to recommend someone to this relative, I was pleased to find that, Dr. John Petrich, the psychiatrist who had treated me for my issues in this area is still practicing. I had been treated for 2-3 years by other healthcare providers in psychiatry and other specialties with only minimal relief from the mental and physical issues that are included in the overall pain process. First I need to say, I did not go to him for pain medications, that is not his specialty, and I want to be quite clear about that. What I would like to say is that he helped me learn to deal with the depression, anxiety, and other issues that often accompany pain. His treatment was the turning point in my learning to deal… effectively with these issues. When I was able to get control over these other problems my pain became more tolerable. I am very grateful to him for what he did for me. Though I still have the medical issues that caused the pain and it still continues to effect my life, I am able to live a life that is full and rich in very many ways. I am grateful to write this review to thank him for his help. I am not sure he would even remember me as I was only under his care for a short time. However, he greatly impacted my life and my health, in ways both mental and physical that I'm not sure even he realizes. Though not all doctor patient relationships are compatible, and what works for one patient may not work for another, I would certainly say that he provided excellent care for my needs. I would not hesitate to say that he is definitely both a very skilled as well as a caring physician. and skilled physician

I have seen so many Dr's over the 21 years I have had panic disorder. Dr. Petrich has been the best by far!
