Dr. John Petrie

John is a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) with several years of experience working in the mental health field by supporting individuals in reaching their goals and working towards positivity and wellbeing. In addition to working in private practice therapy, John continues to work within New Jersey’s Children’s System of Care (CSOC) by providing treatment planning and support to Monmouth County’s most at-risk youth populations. In addition, John works closely with Monmouth and Ocean Counties’ LGBTQ+ populations by facilitating group sessions supporting those who are exploring their identities and navigating life changes associated with family/social dynamic shifts and acceptance. John Specializes in depression, anxiety, relationship issues, body image issues, childhood trauma, LGBTQ+ issues, and more. John completed his Master of Social Work (MSW) at Rutgers School of Social Work.
