Dear Dr. Pirris, I am not sure if you remember me, but you saved my life 11 years ago and I will never ever forget you?!!! During a routine heart Cath at Baptist downtown where I was employed at the time, the attending cardiologist (whose name I shall not mention) disected my right coronary artery. Bad situation, but thank God you were there!!! Your intelligence, innovation and persistence (believe you guys shocked me back about a dozen times) prior to open heart allowed me to be here today. I just recently had an annual physical and everything, especially my cardiac numbers are great. Of course, I help this along by walking 2-3 miles about 4 times a week and watching my diet......there's alot less of me these days.??. Ultimately, I can never thank you enough, but if you ever have a rough day or question for a second (which I doubt) that you are where you are supposed to be, and doing exactly what you are supposed to do, then think of me. I am and will always be grateful to you. You… saved my life and allowed me to know and enjoy my grandchildren. When I was recovering in that hospital bed, all I could think about was taking a trip to Italy, which I am finally embarking on later this year. Thank you for making my trip and my life possible. He inspires confidence. Very straightforward with facts. Will answer all your questions and doesn't make you feel rushed. Actively listens to his patient whichni have found to be a rare trait in surgeons. Had excellent results.

Dr. Pirris talked me into having open heart surgery to repair a leak in my heart valve. I had already scheduled a less invasive procedure to have the repair done. After he had done the "repair", my valve still has a leak which will need to be repaired again this time by someone else. The new repair will require the use of an artificial valve because his procedure damaged the tissue.

Professional, caring as well as an excellent surgeon. Even though I was diagnosed with Stage 4 lung cancer he explained the prognosis but never gave up on me...after many hours in surgery eleven plus years later I'm still here. My wife and I can't say enough good words about Dr. Pirris.
