Dr. John L Poag II, MD

Dr. Poag is the best doctor I have ever had. He is incredibly knowledgeable about Eastern and Western medicine, as well as willing to try unconventional treatments, such as probiotics, acupuncture, Provo therapy, etc. I have a number of serious medical conditions that make diagnosing and treating me very difficult, and he is patient, kind, listens well, and is willing to do whatever it takes, for however long it takes, to make sure that my needs are met. He has worked well with other specialists whom I've had treating me, including surgeons and hospitality, and his nurse, Joan, is also amazing. She gets back to me right away, always gets me in for urgent care on the same day I call, and handles prescriptions very quickly. I cannot recommend Dr. Poag highly enough! Since becoming his patient, he has reduced my ER visits and hospital admissions dramatically with his comprehensive care and attention to detail. Great doctor!

I can highly recommend Dr. John Poag, without any reservation. He and his staff are extremely caring and knowledgable. Dr. Poag has been instrumental in diagnosis of severe problems and if he hadn't read reports from ER, I would be dead. His nurse, Joan has always returned my calls in an hour or two. He has also taken care of my husband and ordered tests for symptoms which again, is saving my husband's life. I don't know why patients rated him as poor but in my experience, he has saved both my life and my husbands. I have never had a problem getting an appt. with him.

Dr. didn't listen to concerns, didn't inform me he was through with the appointment (he just walked out and than a nurse appeared a few minutes later with my paperwork) refused to listen to my concerns and wouldn't address them. I pretty much talked to myself for ten minutes. Will never be returning.
