Dr. John Leroy Potter, DDS

Dr. John potter was born and rasied in San Mateo, California. He attended Menlo College in Atherton, California on a soccer scholarship and graduated with distinction in the Alpha Chi National Honor Society. He then graduated from Temple University Dental School in 1993 as a member of the Omnicron Kappa Upsilon National Honor Society. From there, he completed a one year general practice residency at Staten Island University Hospital in New York. Honing in his specialty, he began an intensive three year program in Periodontology and Implantology at Temple University School of Dentistry, during which time, he was also a clinical assistant professor, earning his certificate in Periodontology in 1997.
The scope of Dr. Potters practice involves the management of  a full range of periodontal services including advanced periodontal case management, implant treatment and most importantly, cutting edge periodontal therapy with the only FDA approved Laser for Periodontal Treatment, …Periolase by Millenium Dental. 
While maintaining successful practices in both Allentown and Haverford, Dr. Potter continues his passion for athletics as a World Class Ironman Triathlete.  Since 1984, he has completed hundreds of triathlons around the world and 20 Ironman races qualifying him for the Ironman World Championship in Kona, Hawaii 5 times and counting.  Dr. Potter has received multiple appointments to All-American Status by the United States Triathlon Federation for his high national ranking in his age group.   In addition to his athletic endeavors, he also enjoys time with his family snow skiing, water skiing, and playing golf along with serving as the soccer coach for his son’s team in Lower Merion for the past 5 years.
