Dr. John Adair Prall, MD

I know every case is different, but the surgery he performed got me back on my feet and doing things with my family again. I wasn’t able to walk and hand numbness in both legs due to a severe herniation. He walked us through each step and helped us assess the risk at each step. Over communication is key and he answered every last question we had.

Dr. Prall has been my doctor for 20 years. He has performed 3 surgeries for me. Dr Prall is a VERY SKILLED surgeon….with many years of experience. I trust him explicitly! He is such a caring person on top of his skill puts him category above the rest. He listens to you and takes time to explains your options and give you the information you need to make your decision. He Does not pressure into surgery. I would recommend him to anybody and would want him to take care of my family. His PA Mark Hugo is a total asset to Dr Prall and his patients. Consistantly late for appointments, lack of respect and consideration for patient time . After being over an hour late for a scheduled appointment time and no apology was made or attempt to reconcile. He actually scoffed at the fact that I had to leave before having a chance to speak with him. Dissatisfied with the outcome of my recent surgery due to failed safety precautions and surgical error. No more than an apathetic apology has been offered, and the treatment I've received since is unacceptable. Unprofessional attitude from front office staff also makes for an unpleasant visit.

Having a double spinal fusion with Dr. Prall was an absolute game changer for me! Dr. Prall and his entire staff were responsive, caring, and thorough. Dr. Prall gave me my life back!

Last year had terrible arm pain, woke up in recovery room with immediate relief. This year had severe weakness in other arm. Had a different surgery and the weakness has gone away! Donna in the office is marvelous at arranging things. Jamie, Melissa and Kate are great PAs and with follow-up. I wouldn't go any where else. Dr. Prall is a phenomenal surgeon.

His approach, explanation and team support pre surgery as well after surgery care was outstanding. Far exceeded my expectations and pain is virtually non existent for the first time in years.

Life changing are the 2 words to describe my experience with Dr. Prall. I suffered for years with neck pain, shoulder pain, arm pain. I had a difficult time sleeping due to neck pain. My range of motion had deteriorated and looking over my shoulder was painful. I finally decided this needed to be addressed so I began my research. This led me to Dr. John Prall. My neck pain would subside at times only to come back later and worse each time. I had one of those reprieves from pain just prior to my surgery and was going to back out of having the procedure. Dr. Prall was very concerned that this would be another short lived reprieve so he called me and expressed his concerns regarding the possibility of me experiencing myelopathy due to the compression of my spinal cord. I had been experiencing a reduction in my motor skills. My legs didn't seem to work as well, I'd been tripping and less sure footed. There were hiking trails I quit doing because I felt unstable in my gate. Honestly I… thought something was wrong with me but never connected that to my neck pain. I had never discussed this with Dr. Prall but I believe he noticed my gate and so he mentioned this might be happening in a slow progression, I may not be noticing a deterioration. This really clicked with me so I decided to go ahead with the procedure and honestly my only regret is I didn't do it much sooner. The procedure was surprisingly short. I was in and out of the center in a few hours. I experienced zero pain and actually felt much better right away after the disk replacement. I had a 2 level disk replacement. Once I got up and started walking in recovery I told my wife I felt more confident in walking. Over the next few weeks my footing became much better, I felt confident walking again. The pain was gone from my shoulder, neck, arm and fingers. This was truly life changing. I now walk, hike, climb and jump with confidence. I can turn my head further than I have in years and no pain! This is one of those situations in life where it's impossible to express my gratitude and appreciation for something. The words thank you just don't seem to be enough. I hope this review help others.
