Very rude and reject patients without proper consultation. Please be respectful to your patients.

He was very late and rushed me out the door saying "Be on your way". I found him to be uncaring.

I've been a patient now for several years. I have been fully happy with his care. I just can't understand some of the unhappy patients who wrote negative reviews. I don't recognize him in their negative remarks. I have found him to be exactly what I would want and expect of a primary care doctor.

Kaiser puts lots of limits, in terms of time and spending-per-patient, on their doctors. In spite of this, Dr. Quatannens does a great job. I never feel rushed and he is thorough and caring. I get the sense he's an internist because he wants to get to know his patients and help people the way we imagine doctors are supposed to do. I don't have any chronic health issues and come to him mostly for annual check-ups. However, the one time I was sick, he diagnosed me pretty quickly and had me admitted to the hospital. He was very reassuring, but at the same time impressed upon me the urgency of my condition. While I was in the hospital for 3 days, he came to see me each day and ran interference with the hospital docs and staff. I can't imagine going anywhere else for care.

Jack is a nice guy who talks a lot. He has no off switch! I have been on same HIV meds since 2007. They need to be changes as I am ill for 4 months. Jack says this SCARY! I am beside myself. He said he would consult with others but never does. He is an internist and not board certified in Infectious Diseases. I am leaving Kaiser due to him Amen! i

I have been with Dr. Quatannes about a year now and even though I have only visited his office once, he gave me the only diagnosis I received from his current place of employment (Kaiser), that lead to the rapid succession of appointments with wonderful specialists ending in to a much needed surgery. I had some difficulty communicating with the surgeon, so Dr. Quatannes stepped up and has helped me manage my post-operative situation. He's a terrific doctor. We communicate by email. He picks up my messages (and my inane questions) and responds within 12 hours. It appears that while he has recently started practicing, from my experience an perspective, he is now in a full professional groove.

Dr. Quatannens is an adequate physician and lacks in too many areas for me to continue being his patient. Kaiser has this fabulous system where you are tethered to your doctor. You email him and he takes DAYS to respond. So many days that you have to make an appt to see a different physician. You take a lab test and he doesnt bother reviewing the results with you. He simply states "they were fine, I'd call you if anything was wrong." That's not good enough for me. I'm diabetic, I need to know my numbers. And he's very robotic at everything he does, not very caring. This may work for others, but it doesnt work for me.

I am new to his practice and, thus far, what I've observed does not impress me. He's always late, he's condescending, you ask him questions and he seems annoyed that you're asking something, he rushes you through your appointments, and he always makes you read stuff instead of answering questions directly
