Dr. John Thomas Raffalli, MD

Terrible doctor!! Stay far away if you have tickborne illnesses and want compassion because he’s not interested in giving any! He treated me like a “crazy lady” and told me that he followed evidence based medicine and refused to let me tell him my 30 year story. He actually said “ a chicken doesn’t bark and I will not get him to bark!!” He put his fingers to his mouth gesturing for me to zip my lips shut. I was so angry I left the office yelling loud enough for the whole building to hear! Shame on you Dr Raffalli, why don’t you study and join the 21st century! Tickborne illnesses are RAMPANT and patients young and old need help! I was horrified after leaving your office. You were also 30 minutes late ! Just another thing that points to us patients as just customers! Get ‘em in and get ‘em out and collect the copay!! It’s a business after all right??!! Worst doctor I’ve ever encountered

I went to Dr Rafalli to rule out anything else because I believed i had UTI symptoms (I experienced these same symptoms before and that’s what it was). He took a urine culture. I told him I was on antibiotics but he said it didn’t matter. He dismissed my complaints saying I had a sinus infection and prescribed an antibiotic I told him I had a previous allergic reaction to. He said I’d probably be fine. My pharmacy flagged it and would not fill it. I saw my ENT the next day who said I had no sinus infection. I returned to Dr Rafalli as symptoms got worse and I wanted to be sure I didn’t have any tick related issues before I proceeded to a urologist. He did blood work (at my insistence) but told me I should talk to a psychiatrist. I was appalled! Would he have said that to a male patient???? I called twice to get the blood test results and never got a call back. I’m following up with a urologist as my symptoms persist. I would never recommend any woman seeing this doctor.

Can't recommend Dr. Raffalli enough! He is a very thorough and compassionate doctor. Truly wish all doctors took as much time listening to their patients and trying to find the root cause of their complaints. He was able to determine the cause of my mom's extreme fatigue and shortness of breath, when no other doctors could. Dr. Raffalli takes the stress out of doctor visits with his warm personality and charm. He's a wonderful 5 star doctor!

Let me start by saying how impressed I am with Dr. Raffalli. I have seen him twice in the past two months and he is very thorough with regard to history analysis and physical examination. I feel like he is truly concerned and wants to help me. He answers all of my questions and I never feel rushed. I strongly recommend him.T

I saw Dr. Raffalli for a rash on my arm,he quickly prescribed a course of antibiotics to treat the Lyme bacteria which was later confirmed by blood work. I felt Dr.Raffalli was knowledgeable about Lyme as well as other tick borne infections and took swift and appropriate action to prevent any long term health complications. I would recommend him to anyone who is in need of Lyme of tick born illness treatment.

I have been going to Dr. Raffalli for a number of years now and I have no idea why previous reviews are bad. After almost a year of going to various doctors and being sick, he was the one who took the time and kept at it to determine the problem. He was friendly, courteous, concerned, and thorough. I have full faith in his dedication to his patients. BTW, I believe he is in his 50's, so those saying he is an old man need a pair of glasses. I have two things that do need improvement though. 1) promptness and 2) Too long in getting written reports/results of visits.

This doctor was the biggest waste of time. If it isn't easy he will not try to diagnose it. If you have swelling pus and inflamed blood vessels go elsewhere. This guy ran a b12 and folate test! Ps he also said hives dont just appear at night yet I am living it! Again a total waste of precious time when you need real tests run like antibody testing biopsy etc

Save yourself the trouble. This man is in no way a good or quality dr. The place (part of their group) I was sent for a sonogram or mri (not sure which) was dirty and the people were not very nice. I got worse after his refusal of further treatment and had to go all over again and get another picc line inserted and continue treatment. I think he lies about a lot of things as well. I do not trust him or the facility in general.

Dr. Raffalli went from being nice nice to nasty nasty in the blink of an eye. It reminds me that people are not always what they make themselves out to be. He was unable to make a commitment as towards my treatment and diagnosis and I think may be in some sort of personal crises as I never knew from visit to visit if he would be nice or mean. It is offputting to have anyone let alone a dr. behave this way. I have begun the search for a new and more stable ID dr.

I don't know why but this picture is very ..probably about 20 years old. Why do drs. do that? It is very deceiving as I was looking for a dr. in their 30s, 40s or 50s..mabey 60s..There is so much new in the world of microbes and an old man is not what I was looking for. It did turn out to be a waste of time seeing him as the labs at their private lab were inaccurate . He just was a fruitcake and I am not ageist but I need a dr. with a handle on the ID world, not a foot out the door of it. I am sad that his diagnosis was wrong and I wasted weeks in between getting to another dr. where the labs were completely different results than at MKMG private lab. I felt he was nice..wierd, (batty) but not equipped to handle an infection that needed long term attention.
