I have had surgery on my spina bifida tethered cord performed by Dr. Ragheb. During the surgery he odecided not to put in a drain for excess CSF, and a couple of months post op I had a massive leak. I could barely walk, and I was in excruciating pain. He had to perform a second surgery in order to fix his screw up. Thanks to having my spinal cord irritated twice- once because of his mistake- I now have a nerve condition known as arachnoiditis. It basically means I am in unbelievable pain all of the time. I can't feel my feet and lower legs, and I have a host of other issues. Be careful with him. He had no compassion when he found out I had arachnoiditis. He said, "I can't fix that with surgery, so there's nothing I can do for you." That was his response to me seeing him shortly after the diagnosis. Anyway, he may be good with babies, but he is not good with adults. Thanks Dr. Ragheb, I really love suffering because of your mistake.

After I received the news that the precious baby girl I was carrying would be born with myelomenigocele and hydrocephalus, my perinatologist told me that my baby would need a neurosurgeon. I asked her who would she recommend and without hesitation she stated "John Ragheb- he is an excellent doctor and a good man." From the first visit and throughout the first 24 months of my daughters life, Dr. Ragheb was very caring, and took the time to explain every diagnosis, and surgical procedure. Whenever possible, he gave me options and allowed me time to understand and make educated decisions on my daughter's behalf. He is so kind, a unique mixture of knowledge and confidence, humility and graciousness that makes him so approachable. Every conversation that we had before a surgery left me feeling at peace with the procedure being performed because I knew that my daughter was in excellent hands. My daughter will be four later on this year, and it's been almost two years since her last… surgery. She is doing well, thanks be unto God and to Dr. John Ragheb- excellent doctor and good man.
