Dr. John Make Ray, MD

Dr. John Ray is the best family practice doctor in town.

Last Thursday I was told by Dr. Ray's nurse, ( he is NEVER able to talk to you himself) that Dr. Ray had changed his mind about sending me to Duke and wanted me to try one more new prescription first: and to call Walgrees in two hrs. I did, no prescription had been called in and he was closed for the day. Called Friday, Walgreens, three times no prescription had been called in for me so I waited called Walgreens again,no prescription called in for me I called DR's office the nurse assured me it had been done.And then, I called Wallgreens once again 25 minutes before the Dr's.office closses at 12 on Fridays . , :I will call Walgrees myself his nurse said and see what the hold up is. I called Walgreens with only 10 minutes time left before he closes. This. time, Walgreens was up set and called his office, with only 5 min. left, Walgrees was a little up set and called his office themself , Walgreens called me back and told me his nurse had to verberally give… them the prescription over the phone, It had NEVER been called in, so I finally got the prescription at 1;30 that afternoon, the one HE wanted me to take. No wonder he likes his staff, they carry on just as he seems to like it. I have been with him for all these years when he opened his first office and I believed in him completely, but now his practice and concerns of his patients has deterated badley and just as another patient wrote before me. Tell the truth and you Will be told to leave and never come back. AT 80 yrs old and needing care an inpossibility since I now have to be driven around for everything by any good friend I can find with 2 or three hrs.to waiste.

I had an appointment on a date that i could not take, and i called to change the date. The earliest that they could get me in was two months after that date. And then when I called to speak to Dr. Ray, they told me no and said he would call back. It has been two weeks and no call back. I feel that if this is how his patients, and that he is that booked up, then he shouldnt take any new patients. And on top of all of this, they were the one who called me for the appointment.

After waiting 40 minutes in waiting room you will wait another 30 minutes in exam room before Dr Ray graces you with his presence. That's if you even get to see him, most of the time you get his lacky PA. I have left about 20 messages for Dr Ray to call me or my wife over the past 2 years and never been called back. Don't even think about asking the office staff a question because they're too good to answer without it being your problem and god-forbid you question them...you'll be told to leave...FOREVER.
