Dr. John N Richie, MD

I needed Doctor Richie, in '85. At the time, I had no experience, with addition. I did not realize anything about the AA organization, until I found myself living, at the Highland Club. A very established hall, on Tulane. I was in a group, after trying to commit suicide. That's how I found myself there. It does not matter how you get there. But that place gave me the strength to admit to tell him, in one session I was using him to get drugs. i thought he would see some kind of strength in admitting it. He did not take the news as I am just an addict, with the treatable disease of ADDICTION. I AM GLAD TO BE A LIVEE. This all happened, after having a car accident. I was dead and CPR'd back to life, by a woman sheriff, in New Jersey. This happened in 2006. I went up there for a change. I got it. I would have change a few things if I did it again. If any youngsters out there, read this, TAKE NOTE. The 17 year old child was driving, he drank the beer to fast and had not gotten enough… sleep and one beer put him out.
