Dr. John Anthony Romano, MD

This doctor was very unprofessional. Dr. Romano only spoke to me at my appointment for 45-60 seconds (after waiting 8 months). As he read my chart, he blatantly ignored my actual reason for coming in, which was nausea. He asked about the acid reflux I have (I do not have that), and ignored my nausea completely. He claimed that, because I had a medical marijuana card listed on my chart, that without a doubt I had Cannabis Hyperemesis Syndrome. He said that they could do a scope, but that if they found nothing, I DEFINITELY had that condition. Here's the thing: my issue started BEFORE getting a med card. I even made the appointment before getting the med card. Additionally, hyperemesis is excessive vomiting. Not only is there no vomiting currently, I haven't vomited since years before this problem. This doctor discriminated me for my med card, dismissed the nausea that brought me in, and tried to get me to pay $$$$ to have a scope done. Be careful with Dr. Romano.
