Dr. John Paul Rosanova, DO

My original Dr. when onto another part of NCH and I was given Dr. Rosanova. I just got out of an 8 day stint in the hospital and didn't know who he was. Our 1st meeting was the next day I got out. He walked in the room with a great Smile and when I began to let him know what was going on, he said he read my whole chart! He explained to me in great detail what was going on. Even at the hospital they didn't let me know. Dr. Rosanova makes me and my family (who also switched to him) feel like he does care about who we are and doesn't rush to get onto another patient. He also makes sure all of my tests are completed. I feel so fortunate in having him as my doctor.

He is very thorough, understanding and empathetic and smart.

Showed little knowledge about a diagnosis and was very unaware of the emotional trauma that went along with it. Very careless. Very rude. Felt judgement. My only experience with him.

He tells you exactly how it is. He does not sugar coat the diagnosis.

I saw Dr. Rosanova during a walk-in when I was very sick and in pain and my doc not available. I see by other reviews people have not had my same experience, which was VERY POSITIVE. First, not only did this doctor follow up on my blood labs when he wasn't even my regular doctor, but HE CALLED ME PERSONALLY not a nurse but he himself took the time to follow up with me. Dr. Rosanova looked at my test results another doctor dismissed and saw my concerns listened and took a more hands on action to solve my problem. ALL THIS FOR A PATIENT WHO HASN'T HIS OWN. I have now switched him to my PC doctor full time. He may be direct and not mince words but that is what I want from a doctor, not someone who is warm fuzzy and vague.

Dr. Rosanova doesn't follow-up with his patients. My father passed away from poor care from this doctor. His recommended a course of treatment that ended up with my father passing away. I tried to ask him why he recommended this surgery and he denied recommending it and basically called my father a liar. No care, no concern, no following up wih the family. I was just dissmissed without an explanation ! I know surgeries don't always go as expected, but not to own the procedures he recommended and dismiss the family is Irreprehensible! He has no idea how he impacted our family, nor does he care !

During the one and only visit that Iâ??ve seen this physician, I found this physician to be condescending and rude. He became visibly upset when I started to asking questions before walking out of the room.
