Dr. John Marshall Rowley

His breast lift is not very good. I will need another one. They look the same as before the lift 2 years ago. I also have scars where I see other doctors wouldn't of left so many scars.

Well the initial consultation was good and I was told by my insurance that this surgery was covered most of the time. When it was submitted to the insurance however it was denied. I had to write a letter of explanation and appeal the denial. I was told by Katie that the office never gives a medical necessity opinion and that it was up to me to convince the insurance co. to comply and pay for the procedure. I explained to my insurance co that I had been to three back pain doctors, chiropractor, physical and message therapy for relief from shoulder and back pain. I told them they had all the information and could not understand the denial. This surgery and probably some weight loss would help my back and shoulder pain. I am thinking this is part of the reason for the insurance denial, I don't weigh a lot but for my body frame my C cup was very large, making workouts made bra straps painful on my shoulders and back. I did just that a wrote the letter, I started the process in late… Sept or Oct, well I didn't hear from the insurance or doctors office until I called them in Dec. The insurance co told me they had a change of heart and would cover the procedure and that they had contacted the doctors office with their decision. When I called Katie to verify this she denied they called her. Needless to say she scheduled the surgery but it would have to wait until after the new year. This was disappointing because with the new year starts a new deductible which I had already reached in 2017. Well the first surgery was canceled and I had to reschedule my time off at work again. Then on the day of the surgery there was confusion as to what time to get there. I read on my paperwork that arrival time was 11am and surgery was at 1pm. Well had I checked my phone messages I would have realized that start time was at 9am and surgery scheduled at 11am. Anyhow so I raced to the hospital and everyone at the hospital was very accommodating, very nice staff, the best I've ever had! Did I read my paperwork wrong I don't know, I had already tossed it into the trash. My calendar had it written down just as I stated. On to the post surgery, as I stated the hospital staffing was the best! The nurses before and after the surgery were great. I was disappointed that my niece could not come in to the post recovery room with me though, she is a nurse and I figured she would be able to sit with me. Oh well, rules are rules. That evening I spoke to my other half and realized that we didn't know what time to be at the first doctors visit in the morning. I called the doctors office and they gave an option to reach someone after hours, to my surprise the doctor answered. I thought it would be an answering service but reached the actual doctor, I was impressed by this. He instructed to call at 8:30 and they would get me in. Well my recovery is coming along, today is the first day I have felt this good in a long time, 1 month and 3 days after the surgery. I never take pain pills but I finished the entire bottle. I was fine at home but once I went back to work after being off for 10 days, it was a bit painful. Although the box of wafers I lift are 10lbs, doing it for twelve hours along with pushing 70lb carts around on a twelve hour shift was painful. Keep in mind I had no more pain pills and when calling Dr. Rowley's staff they suggested I take ibuprofen 800 mg. I suggest anyone having a reduction take at least 3 weeks off work depending the type of work you do, mine is very physical. Working out is hard but I must say my back is already feeling better. I am still healing and am feeling more pain on the left breast than I do the right. I have purchased comfortable bras until I see the end results, I am sure there is still swelling. That said, there is some scarring but hopefully this is reduced over time. I don't regret doing this surgery, I can't wait to start running again for this was quite a task with larger breasts. Well the healing is coming along, I think Dr. Rowley and his staff are great, very happy with the results so far. Has it been a learning experience, yes it has. Although this is an in and out procedure ladies take enough time off work, have comfortable clothing, the nipple gets very sore. I have learned to put gauze and Neosporin to numb the pain a little. My workouts are slow but I am excited about getting back into shape again. For those who like big breasts more power to you, I am hoping for an A cup or B, I still feel large but it is more than likely the swelling. Oh I was surprised at one of my doctor visits that there was a third person in there, a PA, no one mentioned another person would be staring at my healing breasts. I am very shy by nature, I could have been warned. That said, I recommend this Doctor and his staff to those looking for any type of breast surgery!

Dr. Rowley has been my surgeon for over a year now. Shortly after having a double mastectomy I found out I had lymph node that was positive and had to undergo chemo. As with chemo, nothing goes completely smooth but he has always been there for me and personally returns your phone calls. He has made all the right decisions to better my health and is very compassionate. The staff is amazing as well. To me we are not just patients but friends. he genuinely cares about his patients and is there for you. I have had several procedures and have been extremely happy with all of them. I would recommend Dr. Rowley to any one~ definitely has literally saved my life.

Dr. Rowley and his staff have been great to me. I had breast cancer at age 31 and had to have a bilateral mastectomy. Dr. Rowley did 2 breast reconstruction surgeries and 1 revision. All of my experiences have been good and I have always had confidence in his work. Heâ??s very down to earth and he clearly explains the process of the procedures. He always has a positive attitude and a smile. His staff as well has always been prompt with returning phone calls and also answering my questions. I have had radiologists ask me who did my reconstruction surgery because they say when seen through diagnostic imaging, my tissue looks flawless. I would definitely recommend Dr. Rowley to any woman needing breast reconstruction. If you want to get it done fast and get on with your life then you must see Dr. Rowley and decide for yourself. He will explain all options available to make you feel like a woman again. I can honestly say, I never thought I could look like a woman again, and I definitely do… now.

To add to the previous comment, there has never been a "Shannon" employed in Dr. Rowley's office. I have been going to his office for the last 8 years. The staff of 5-6 people very rarely changes and Shannon has never been a part of the team. Dr. Rowley and his staff truly care about the wants and needs of their patients. They are wonderful efficient team!! I have referred may close friends and family to their office.

I had a breast reduction and tt. I interviewed 4 doctors. Dr. Rowley was the best fit for me. I am very happy with the results, and will use him again.

Just to first comment on the previous statement about the staff at Dr. Rowley's office: I have been Dr Rowley's patient for several years, and he has never had a Shannon working for him. I'm not sure where this person sees him, but is office is in Ahwatukee, and beautiful! His staff has always been VERY helpful, professional, and kind. He is an awesome surgeon. Yes, sometimes I wait a while for my appointment, but I know I am given the time and attention I need. I have referred friends and even my own mother to him! I highly recommend Dr Rowley.

Dr Rowley is pleasant and professional however his staff is a complete other story. "Shannon" is the most rude condescending little twit on earth. She is very pregnant and hopefully will stay home and raise a second generation of hateful little people instead of demeaning patients why she keeps them waiting for longer than an hour after thier appointment. There are other staff members who will apologize so repeated ly but will do nothing to help. If you are making a choice - pick ANYWHERE but here!

Dr. Rowley is am awesome surgeon and a great doctor. From the consultation through the surgical procedure, he is far superior to any other professional that I have dealt with on this level. He runs a tight ship with an incredible, caring staff.
