Dr. John Hugh Rundback, MD

Surgeon who operates for money doesnt care about patients. Dont trust him for vascular surgery at all.

I saw Rundback because my iliac veins had clotted off after back surgery because I had not been put on Coumadin. I was in excruciating pain and could not stop crying. He said he couldn’t stand me. He never spoke with my husband or myself about his plan. He never offered me a prescription for pain medication. He placed stints in my iliac veins and destroyed the filter I had to protect me from blood clots and never told me. Would not allow me to see films even when asked. The stints clotted and I had to have the procedure repeated. My legs swelled and I could not walk. Problem went on for several years until I was able to convince my PCP the stints were inadequate. The problem will persist for life. Stints placed were too small and cannot be manipulated in anyway to relieve the problem. This is a chronic problem which necessitates having to have the stints reamed out about every six months. A procedure which requires a general anesthetic and exposes me to an increase in developing… blood clots and all the risks of having a surgical procedure under general anesthesia. Attempts to get in touch with him after this were met with silence.

Don’t look anywhere else, trust Dr. Rundback experience and excellent hands, and this is both from a patient and RN point of view.... He has excellent bedside manners, never rushes you, answers all your questions and follow up with you..... not too many doctors like that left in medicine. Nursing staff at Holy Name Hospital that works with him is great too.

My father was faced with a amputation from the knee down. We were given Dr Rundbachs name as an expert in this field. Since I am one if my fathers advocates, I have been to many doctors and no one made us feel like we had options. When we met with Dr Rundbach, he was kind and gave us hope and explained what he felt were the best options and his knowledge was instantaneous. This dr rundback is not only brilliant, but, also a genuine human being. I highly recommend him if you or a loved one are faced with severe vascular problem, this is the doctor hands down.
