Dr. John Mark Ryan, MD

Good doctor but the bureaucracy, inefficiency, and rudeness of his staff is a problem. 40 sometime 60 min waits on phone just to get thru. Officious and uninformed office staff. There must be better ways to run a practice.

I wanted an irish doctor. Dr Ryan was the 1st one I found in the book. Been with him for 15 years. Professional, capable, interesting, funny, sartorial, and a friend. I look forward to my annual checkups and I even bring him a bowtie.

Evidently, a very competent and personable physician. I would recommend him as a primary care physician to anyone who asks. He is associated with the University Medicine Foundation in Rhode Island which is definitely an advantage if one is ever in need of a medical specialist within the UMF group of physicians. Top notch!

Mark Ryan is the Gold Standard in medical care. Patient welfare and appropriate care is on the table. This gentleman is educated, practiced, and humble and will address your medical issues from the perspective of long life and quality for you. He will guide you through your care choices, noting his limits in education and training, and refer you (your choice) to the best doc's available. He should teach but I fear that if he did I would lose him as my primary care doc.

Dr. Ryan is easy to talk to about healthcare issues. He coordinates your overall wellness as well as makes refererals to well qualified specialists to complement your care. My wife and I are patients.We espicailly enjoy his practical outlook and sense of humor.

I dread having to talk to the office people. They often seem rushed and sometimes impatient. I don't always get what they promised. That is not the case with Dr Ryan. He listens to questions and comments and responds appropriately. He is very thorough when doing an exam.
