Five star reviews ?? In what universe ? On the planet called, "Those That Benefit From His Income" ? My experience at this office, was a nightmare? Can't really say, of them all, he is the worst ? He's only a contender for the award entitled "Least Likely Physician To Be Honest, Competent, Reflective, Actually Helpful, Not A Bully, Anyone That Would Give A Sh*t About The Pain And Suffering Of A Patient, And Especially...Most Likely To Not Prescribe Appropriate (F*ing) Pain Relief !! On second thought ? There's Docter (?) Luis Mazza ! He gets this first award for all of the above with others to follow, who are phycicians that would serve humanity better had they, instead of medical school, gone to Vocational School and become Auto Mechanics in order to work on cars rather than human beings ! Another contender for this esteemed award is Dr. Regina M. Solis and especially Her Entire staff, with the exception of two members, (you know who you are) They are the true WINNERS of the… award for, The Rudest, Most Incompetent, Most Belligerent, Hostile, Angry, Impolite and Disrespectful of them all ...Congradularions !!! And don't actually try to fix any of the multible malfunctions with your practice, you might actually EARN the money you make from the pain and suffering of your patients !!!

Good bye and good riddance! I thought the mindset, of a chauvinistic, egotistical, self centered, self aggrandizing, physician of this magnitude, went out with this past century ! Oh no ! It is alive and living with it's base of operation, all comfy and cozy at The Back Center in Melbourne, Florida.! If you are seeking to have incompetent care, look no further, than this outfit ! You will have the special priviledge of an unsuccessful surgery, ongoing pain, discomfort and frustration, without relief !. You can look forward to being bullied, insulted and treated like a drug addict, if you have the nerve to actually ask for an aspirin !!! So step right up ! The staff will make sure to let you know, you only exist to bow down to them, provide their income, build up their already, fat egos then get lost, once they turn their backs on you ! So, some might say...What more do you expect, from an already corrupt and twisted medical system that rewards Big Pharma, all things Medical, then… ignores it's source of income..you, your money and suffering ! I HAVE READ A FEW QUESTIONABLE REVIEWS AND FEEL THE PATIENT HAD A PROBLEM, NOT HIM. HE WAS ALWAYS KIND AND FULLY COMMITED. He has a multi resolution approach. Sadly he left the Sarasota pain Clinic. They lost a real asset in their practice.

I had years of true pain management under the care of Dr. Sassano. He was the first doctor who listened to me and looked at the scans and not just read reports. Always honest and one of the smartest people I ever met, he restored my faith in doctors. It’s not easy treating my kind of pain but he didn’t give up. Sassano might seem gruff at first but few share his compassion and understanding of chronic and severe pain. I suspect negative comments are from people who didn’t give him the time or respect, but doctors are subjected to a lot of pressure because some people abuse. Considering the current climate of pain treatment, scrutinizing new patients and having zero tolerance policy is understandable.

I am so surprised to read these reviews. My wait times have been about 10 minutes first of all. I am so proud to be a patient of someone who is ethical, kind and respectful of my long-standing pain after 4 failed surgeries . He sticks by the rules the government has set . By that I believe patients wanting more than he could subscribe were upset. If the speed limit is 30 mph then you should obey the law and not speed. This obeying to the rules of government that Dr. Sassono did and does caused some patients to be upset. He holds patented inventions for treatment of patients and has helped the world of medicine. I feel it important also to mention that The University of Florida ( Go Gators ) held him in high esteem to have him as the director of pain medicine there . I hope that people hear this loud and clear. He , like many doctors now have to be precise in record management because of the rules set forth . Many , many other Doctors have said to me ( give me a moment ) while they go… through rigorous questions on the computer. I guess we should respect that and don’t interrupt them. Who is being rude ? Of course it is the patient who wants a “drive through “ interaction like fast food . We should understand that our doctors have to dot each I and cross each T . If they don’t they could loose there license to practice medicine, something each doctor worked hard to receive. Pain management is very hard now because of people that have been untruthful and have caused the government to tighten the rules so tight that doctors have to walk a tightrope. I am in terrible pain. I am sure others have hurt by cheaters making it hard for patients who qualify for more medicine but unable to get it. There have been people who fake it and then sell their medicine for a living , yes it was a job for them. That has hurt us that really are in terrible pain and do not desire another surgery and rehab, to only have more scar tissues and nerve injury and infection. If anything please give Dr. John Sassono the proper respect that he DESERVES!! He is only being someone that follows the rules to a tee. Normally that is what America is about, being a good citizen respectfully obeying the rules . Gob bless America and God bless Dr.John Sassono!

I received a call from his office requesting that I reschedule my appointment, with another doc, because he up & quit without notice. Thank God! He was the worst doctor I have ever seen. He's rude & refuses to let you talk,... says "shut up I'm trying to think." when you are trying to give him your medical history. This man IS 100% UNFIT TO PRACTICE MEDICINE.

Dr Sassano has been my Pain Doctor for over a year. He has helped me more than any Pain Doctor has in ten years! He's direct, to the point and honest. If I tell him a procedure didn't work for me, he finds one that does! He listens to me. There are a lot of Drug seekers out there faking symptoms to get opioids. I think this Doctor sees through them and they post negative reviews because of that which is unfair.
