John Walter Sawvel, DO

I love the guy, I’ve never known a doctor to know as much as he does . I haven’t had a problem that he didn’t know what it was and what the cure was. I’m not very good at asking questions, dr Sawval explains everything in detail. I could never consider going anywhere else.

I have never known a finer physician. He is tremendously knowledgeable about seemingly all areas of medicine. He listens, explains, cares, takes the necessary time.

Dr. Sawvel is very thorough in terms of keeping on top of labs, follow ups, and medication compliance. I never have to wait long in the waiting room or in the patient room before he comes in. It is difficult at times to get a prompt appointment for accute conditions. Staff is very curteous and professional. I like that they use an online patient portal that I can sign into and see my medical record. You can use it to double check for accuracy, review your medications, send notes to nurse or directly to Dr. Sawvel with questions you may have, see when your next appointments are, etc. Dr. Sawvel is soft spoken with a kind bedside manor. I like that he explains my medical conditions thoroughly to me and welcomes questions. If you are female and shy about having a male doctor doing a PAP smear or breast exam, he gives you the option to see his female partner for your female health appointments. I would recommend Dr. Sawvel. It's been a very positive experience.

Listens very well, frank, straightforward, and detailed discussions. Very knowledgeable doctor. Only downside is that it can sometimes be tough to get a timely appointment on quick notice (for example for flu, infection or other more urgent illnesses).

Wait time after being taken to examination room WAY TOO LONG.

The doctor is very nice and doesn't just push meds like my previous doctor. The receptionists are usually rude and several times have been "snappy" on the phone for no reason. Seems like they take it out on the people on the phone when they are busy. I have never had to wait so long for an appointment as I do when I go here.

Dr. Sawvel is an excellent doctor. However I have had nothing but problems with the office staff.

I feel that Dr Sawvel is an excellent Physician. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a GP
