Dr. Scanelli is amazing. This is my second knee replacement and the first one was excellent -- I didn't believe it could be better, but methods have improved in the years since my last one, and Dr. Scanelli knows all the latest stuff. I was walking in the recovery room, out of the hospital in 2 days, had little pain (none that was not carefully controlled). He is expert, compassionate, and straightforward. He cares deeply about his patients and is easy to contact if you need to do so. In 68 years I have never had a finer doctor of any kind. The anaesthesiologist he likes to use, Dr. Scott, is also perfectly wonderful. All in all an experience I had been dreading was truly, truly fine!

Dr. Scanelli is an absolute go-to for an ACL reconstruction. The whole experience was amazing! I tore my ACL in my last semester of college and was eager to return to my active lifestyle. I sought a second opinion and still returned to Dr. Scanelli. He not only listened attentively and worked with my schedule, but has been so responsive. He gives you his cell phone number and email and always responds quickly. This was my first major health issue since moving away form home. He took the time to explain everything to me in detail in a way that made me feel more comfortable. I am 2 months out from my surgery and I could not be happier with my results. I am just two weeks after my hip replacement surgery, and have nothing but positive things to say about the entire experience. From start to finish, Dr. Scanelli was amazing. First of all, I was referred to him by my PCF. I was able to get in quickly which was fantastic. The office was clean and efficient. I never waited more than five minutes after my appointment to be seen. The entire staff if friendly and courteous. Remembering my name and spouses names without looking at a chart. That still amazes me. I have sat for many an hour in some waiting rooms. Dr. Scanelli looked at my new X-Rays and said, "Do you want to have the surgery tomorrow". He could see both on the X-rays and my person the abject pain I was in. The surgery was within 14 days of diagnosis, and that was delayed by my employer due to approval. Dr. Scanelli gave me his e-mail and cell phone as a contact, which has NEVER happened to my in all of my years. I didn't use the cell phone, but we… e-mailed and he answered all of my questions quickly and actually assisted me frequently. He was ever mindful of me and my pain, and took every precaution to mitigate that in the process. I have to say, he succeeded, and I was walking steps that day. Yes, it was even Out-Patient surgery. I slept in my own bed the night of the procedure. Given the stories of the past, that was amazing to me. As for caring for his patients, he came to visit me in the hospital room later in the day to check on me. I firmly believe that I would not have made it out that day if not for his checking. He stayed with me until the very busy nurse completed all things needed and then signed the discharge papers. That was above and beyond what he "had to do". I am so thrilled with Dr. Scanelli, that I want him to become our family doctor and work on my mother's knee. It needs replacing and she has put it off for far too long. Beyond all else. The surgery was flawless, and I going all indicators are for a quick and speedy recovery. Do yourself a favor and go to Dr. Scanelli. You will never regret that you did.

I meet Dr. Scanelli for the first time today. I was impressed because he seemed to have done his homework. He knew my case history and was able to answer all of my questions. I was worried that my deformity would be a concern. Dr. Scanelli reassured me that my knee was his specialty, and I had nothing to worry about. I felt very good about my visit.

I interviewed 3 surgeons, all competent at the anterior approach to total hip replacement. I told all 3 surgeons that the surgery for end-stage osteoarthritis of the hip was urgent for me, more than elective. Only Dr Scanelli heard what I said, went immediately to his scheduler, had surgery scheduled while I was in the office for 11 days after my initial appointment. I am now 4 months post op. My whole experience with Dr Scanelli â??pre op visits, surgical procedure, and post op has been 5 STAR. He is one of the very few physicians I know who is exceptional in relating to his patients- respectfully, effectively and with kindness and a smile. His is a well-run office with staff who like their work group and do a very good job. Dr Scanelli teaches other orthopedic surgeons the anterior approach to hip replacement. When my osteoarthritic knee needs replacing, I want Dr Scanelli as my surgeon.

When my doctor of @ 20 years retired, he introduced Dr. Scanelli as his successor just as I needed to have my second total knee replacement. I had a very positive experience with the left knee replacement 6 years ago and expected nothing less. I know there have been advances in the surgery, but never expected how easy & relatively painless this procedure would be. The recovery time was astonishing. I should add here that I am no one's ideal surgical subject, being 70 years old and overweight (217 pounds,). The way I bounced back from this replacement was nothing short of amazing (up walking the same day and negotiating stairs the next morning--and I am not a brave person). Dr. Scanelli is a charming man who shows real concern for his patients. The fact that he has a sense of humor is quite a bonus. He was very available by email prior to and immediately after the procedure and made sure that I was comfortable while recovering. I could do almost anything with this new knee six… weeks after surgery. I really could not have asked for more on either the surgical or personal level. You will find him a very likable man and an excellent surgeon.

I had a hip replacement with Dr. Scanelli. He uses the new anterior method which cuts the rehab time in less then half. I walked 200 feet and up and down a dozen steps on the day of the surgery. In 6 weeks I was better than new. It's been 4 months since the surgery and I can't believe the pain is gone and dexterity back to normal. Scanelli is the best !! If you can get him consider yourself fortunate.

The full knee replacement operation by Dr. Scanelli was a truly life-changing experience... a change for an unmeasurably better quality of life. Within two hours of the procedure I was walking... unassisted. Dr. Scanelli is obviously in the " stratosphere" of his profession. He is attentive, dependable, understanding, supportive . He is also blessed with a wonderful sense of humor. He is a true professional and a wonderful human being. Let him take care of you.

Doctor Scanelli truley has a gift. I had total Knee replacements done fourteen years ago. I recently fell and broke a component loose in the right knee. Imagine the fear that runs through your mind to have this procedure done again. From the first time I met Doctor Scanelli right through the surgery nothing but total peace and trust!! Amen Doc your the best. The Knee is great!
