Dr. John Schaeffer specializes in cardiovascular disease and internal medicine, bringing over five decades of medical expertise to his practice. He earned his medical degree from Ohio State University College of Medicine & Public Health and completed his residency training at University of Colorado Health. With 55 years of experience treating patients, Dr. Schaeffer has developed extensive knowledge in heart and vascular conditions as well as comprehensive internal medicine care. He is fluent in English.

Dr. Schaeffer practices at University Hospitals Elyria Medical Center and maintains offices throughout northern Ohio, including locations in Elyria, Lorain, Avon, and Amherst. His clinical focus includes treating high blood pressure and helping patients manage weight-related health concerns. He performs heart monitoring tests like electrocardiograms and specialized ultrasound procedures to evaluate blood flow in the carotid arteries and other vessels throughout the body.
