Dr. John Frederick Scheerer, MD

A friendly family physician who is compassionate and understanding. He's much like a family friend who happens to have abundant medical knowledge.

Dr. Scheerer has been treating my family of 7 for the past 13 years. I met him as the on-call doc when my first child was born and knew I had to have him as our family doctor. We have five children now and they all love Dr. Jack. He is clearly the most outstanding physician I have seen. I would highly recommend him. He (medically) treats my kids like he did his own children which is very comforting when dealing with decisions about vaccinations ect. He offers an excellent balance of traditional and holistic medicine, great for the educated mainstream.

I have seen Dr. Scheerer for since 1984 so I know him well as my doctor and have never been happier. He often offers holistic and homeopathic remedies as a first choice alternative to modern drugs if you prefer to try them instead but is not adverse to traditional medicine. He suggests great meditation techniques as well as herbal remedies and vitamin regimens before moving to pharmaceuticals, but if you decline these, he will not try to push them on you if you do not want to try that route. He's always been kind, friendly, and willing to listen. I highly suggest him for all your GP needs. I've referred many friends over the years and all have been happy with him.

While I refer many friends to Dr. Scheerer, who all love him, I severely dislike people who will trash a persons reputation without ever meeting someone, based on what another admittedly impaired individual said. This is about a professional, not some restaurant. I encourage people to ONLY look at the reviews of people who have actually MET WITH THE MAN rather than made accusations over the phone about something they heard from someone else. Please be careful about your decisions and look carefully at who is writing the post you are reading for any subject.

My wife and I continued to see him even during a time when out insurance did not cover office visits and offered another doctor as an alternative.He has a holistic attitude and will try to solve the problem with a natural approach such as diet and exercise plus minerals and herbal treatments before using prescription drugs. However, if that is the best option, he immediately goed in that direction.. a great mix and a very caring and competent diagnostition. His staff is outstanding.
