Dr. John Patrick Schilling, MD

Dr. Schilling is a very knowledgeable, approachable and kind physician. He performed surgery on my rt hand (trigger finger) a few years ago with great success. Golden State p.t. for hands is excellent, as well. Recently visited Dr. S. for arthritic pain in hand. Received a cortisone injection which has provided some relief. Will begin hand therapy shortly. GS billing department could be a bit more knowledgeable in insurance coverages. Took 2 years to resolve a claim. All good now. With that said, I will continue to see Dr. S. for any hand, wrist issues. He is the best in the East Bay!

Dr. Schilling is an amazing and kind doctor with years of experience. I saw him for my thumb that I injured with blender. Dr. Schilling is the best doctor for many reasons. He takes his time and making sure his patients understand what needs to be done. He is never in rush and answer all your questions. I am so thankful for having him for my thumb injury and I believe he is the reason for saving my thumb.

I've been going to Doc. SCHILLING for years. He knows what he's doing. His experience makes his decisions acurate, and quick. I feel very comfortable with him.

Dr Schilling did my Hand surgery last month, both Carpel Tunnel and majorThumb Arthritis intervention surgery at the same time. I anticipated a very high level of pain/ discomfort, I was amazed how little pain I had. Dr Schilling did an amazing job, was attentive, empathetic and very positive. I can’t thank him enough he did a wonderful job!!!

Excellent orthopedic Hand surgeon. Dr. Schilling has been my orthopedic Doc for manny years with issues with my Hands. He’s easy to talk with and not in a hurry to get to the next patient. I’ve given him reviews with no hesitation

Why aren't all doctors like Dr. Schillng? He is very approachable and assessable. He walks in with a smile and continues with a smile throughout the whole appointment. He's knowledgeable, he listens, and I trust him. He sets the bar for all other medical professionals.

Dr. John Schilling is a treasure. He listens, he explains, and he truly cares. I saw him due to a work injury, and after not making progress through Concentra, I was given a list of doctors to choose from. I'm so glad I chose Dr. Schilling. After looking at my MRI and my physical therapy reports, he gave me a cortisone injection. The cortisone did not help, so he recommended surgery, which workers comp denied. He then appealed it and won. I'm now in the healing process after having surgery. I highly recommend Dr. Schilling.

I found Dr. Schilling to be very knowledgeable and also very pleasant, gentleman. I went in for my wrist & thumb I was really having a lot of pain , and he gave me a cortisone shot which at first I said this isn't working , but it did kick in. I really like him I would recommend him , this is my opinion.

Dr. Schilling is the best!!! He saved my right hand after a bad accident that left me with most of my nerves and tendons severed. He was able to get me in for emergency surgery. I would not have a functioning right hand if it was not for him. The hand PT team is also great. He is so nice and professional. Great bedside manner! He truly cares about his patients and his staff is wonderful as well. He did such a great job when I had the accident that I didn’t even hesitate a second before going straight back to him when I needed carpal tunnel surgery recently. He and his team are very responsive when you leave messages and they always get back to you timely. I recommend him every time I get asked for an upper extremity specialist. Top notch!!!
