Dr. John Milton Schimpke, MD

I'm now almost 50. I have been in therapy for some time from the medical trauma inflicted by this man. He called every nurse on the floor to hold me down to my bed while resetting an appliance. He yelled at me and told me to stop screaming from the pain. I asked for anesthesia but he didn't have time for that. I was 12 years old.

Dr. Schimke replaced my wife's left knee - and did a very poor job - Shortly after the replacement the knee became stiff and required a revision (pull out new knee and put in another new knee. After the procdure we visted Schimpke. He looked at the knee that had the 2nd replacement and said you can go. We asked about a follow up visit. He said you can schedule an appointment if you want to. I'll just check your range of motion. DUHHHH My opinion don't let anyone you know use this guy as your surgeon.

Had two operations on the same knee a little less than two years ago.My leg is in more pain than ever.Evidently I will need another operation on the same leg.He advertises he has been a surgeon for 31 years,well in my opinion he should retire last week . This was one of the biggest mistakes I,ve ever made,letting him operate on me and going back for more.DO NOT RECOMMEND DR>SCHIMPKE TO ANYONE .

Did not even compare knees, I tried telling him the bad knee used to be like the other one with minor popping and now is crunchy. He told me to move closer to work so I was not stressing my knee and if the pain contiued after 6 mos he might schedule an MRI. My cartilage is making a horrible sound with a constant dull pain. Xray's do not show cartilage, and living with Patellofemoral pain at 37 doesn't sound right.

Dr. Schimke is an excellent physician. He takes his time with you explains what is going on an gives you options. Very caring, well mannered and knowledgable. If your knee is giving you problems - Dr. Schimke is an excellent choice of physicians
