I had such a wonderful experience! I was pretty nervous about having an endoscopy, but Dr. Schmidt and his entire staff were so warm, compassionate, and professional. They all made sure I was well-informed and they made sure I was taken care of and comfortable. They were very fairly priced, too! If you find yourself in need of gastroenterology services, I highly recommend Granite Peaks.

I was very impressed with Dr Schmidt. He took his time to explain what was going on with my problem, and answered my questions.

I have been a patient of Dr. Schmidt for years. I found him after many other trials and errors with other providers. Dr. Schmidt was the first doctor that I found who actually cares about his patients and their wellbeing. Luckily I am in remission but I will never go to another doctor as long as he is practicing.

It was all good, the doctor and staff are all very nice to work with, and I felt at home. I am still in the process of doing my lab tests, so we will see how the treatment goes if it is necessary. He also did all of my regular lab tests, and one other that I need to go to another specialist for. He listened well, and accomodated my needs.

Our Primary Care Physician did not take the time to get to the bottom of my problems which continued from Spring 2018 to late summer. When pressed, the PCP finally told us to go to a Gastroenterologist. My problems were that I had a terrible cough and I could not breathe. I had sat straight up for 2 months straight all night because I could lay down or even recline in the recliner. I was worn out. We had met Dr. Schmidt once before in the ER at Alta View. We made an appointment with him, and he also wondered why we were told to go to a GI doctor. BUT, he could see that I needed help and he gave me what I needed. I am happy to say that he really cares and took care of me. I am 100% better, no cough and can lay down in bed at night. Thank you, Dr. Schmidt.

First time seeing him in a hospital for a ercp I knew what he was supposed to do he explained but then he did nothing when he was in the operating room didn't have the guts to go talk to my husband or me afterwards to let us know that he did nothing he just disappeared and the nurse at the hospital is one who had to explain what had happened in the operating room he charged me $6,000 on top of the $20,000 hospital bill and he did nothing removed nothing like he was supposed to

I love, love, love Dr Schmidt!! He is so kind and has an awesome bedside manner. He spends so much time with me and my husband. He really cares about his patients. I wish all of my doctors were like him. He is very thorough and understanding. You're in great hands with this doctor.

This my was first visit to Dr. Schmidt and one of the worst experiences I have ever had with a Doctor. I told him that I had been constipated lately, I had changed my diet and was eating healthier, but am not able to go to the bathroom now. He promptly told me that when you eat McDonald's every day you are going to have big bulky bowel movements, but when you eat healthy you do not go to the bathroom as often because your body absorbs the nutrients. I told him that I had been eating healthy for quite some time and I couldn't imagine my body needing to absorb that much nutrients. I know that being this constipated isn't normal. He never helped me or solved my problem. He was rude and condescending throughout the appointment. I will seek out another doctor. I would stay away from this guy!
