Dr. John Charles Seed, MD

Dr Seed is a compassionate, wonderful doctor that has been one of the few of dozens that I have seen that truly seems concerned and empathetic to mental health suffering. Years of condescending doctors that refused to help for severe anxiety and insomnia, seeing Dr Seed literally was a bright light after years in the dark. I’m grateful for his help, expertise and experience. And while the ride has sometimes been a rollercoaster, he doesn’t hesitate to say out loud “I want and need to alleviate your suffering,” words that almost brought me to tears. He makes a choice of medication that works and while giving you information of possible risks, he prescribed effective medication while helping you find other means to cope. One year with him, and I can say I would not be a functional adult without him. I didn’t hesitate coming each month to get a solid half hour to discuss my situation, medication and refill. The consult is literally 30 mins and he doesn’t cut you off like almost all… doctors do, especially if they don’t like what you say (common when dealing with mental health issues, I’ve even had doctors drop me completely when I mentioned my anxiety and sleep are disabling and crippling me .. so much for reach out to your doctors for mental help, my experience with everyone other than Dr Seed has been abysmal). Happiest and most worthy copay and .5 hrs of my money and time each month to have a consult and refill my medication

Excellent Psychiatrist with a real concern about his patients welfare. At first, he may appear aloof due to ethical board guidelines. However, he is by far one of the most knowledgeable psychiatrist I have seen. He will inform you of the pros and cons of your medications and often take the time to ask about you follow-up appt. with your regular doctor (e.g. hb pressure, diet changes, etc.) Unfortunately, he left my network provider (thus I am a former pt.) service. However, I would highly recommend him to my family, friends, and whatever community he is serving.
