Dr. John Michael Seeley, MD

I see Dr. Seeley at the KCVA and I couldn't be more pleased! He is just as cute as a bug's ear, but apart from that - he LISTENS. That's what every patient wants! To be heard! He conducts thorough exams, recommends diagnostic tests and not only looks at the bits and pieces, but at the "Big Picture". I highly, HIGHLY recommend Dr. Seeley. On the downside, I really don't know if he still sees people outside of the VA.

I was searching for a doctor that offered me some insight into an unexpected experience with seizures. He was willing to listen to my personal situation versus simply diagnosing my situation based on textbook protocol. I was looking to find a neurologist that has a strong academic and research background as well, to allow for insight into a more complete approach to my medical care. He offered some further reassurance and testing to ensure our plan of care was most fitting for me. He had a very patient bed-side manner that allowed me to feel comfortable to ask questions and not rushed for the time allocated for my appointment. He even carried on some small-talk about my recent week and to get to know me on a personal level. This further created a comfortable experience with him as my physician.

Dr. Seeley is an excellent neurologist. We are lucky to have such an incredible epilepsy specialist in the kansas city area . He has been working with my son who has intractable epilepsy for the two years. He is so patient and has a great bedside manner. I would highly recommend him.

I went to Dr Seeley for a second opinion on a diagnosis I had already received. Dr Seeley was very well-versed and considered all options when viewing my specific situation. By the end of the visit, I had chosen him to bet primary neuro and dumped the dr I had been seeing for months (waste of time and money compared to Seeley's experience and depth of knowledge/concern for diagnosing me accurately instead of running test after test after test. AMAZING experience

I came to him, twice, with a bit of a mystery. Instead of hurrying me off the phone or having to leave a message, he got on the the phone asked me a few questions and knew what I had and then referred me to the physician in the group who knew more about it. He is a very patient-centric Dr.

I have been seeing Dr. Seeley for over 6 years and believe me when I say that I am scared what has happened to me. He has worked with me and tried all the meds, etc. that he thought would work. I couldn't imagine going to a doctor that has such a great bedside manner. My condition has increasingly gotten worse and he understands all that. I have a lot of issues, but seeing Dr. Seeley always leaves me feeling ok. It is difficult, believe me.

Dr. Seeley has always been a understanding, compassionate doctor who listens to me and asks about my problems. He has always been responsive to my issues and proactive in their treatment.

I appreciate the friendliness and sense of calmness Dr. Seeley brings to the examination visit. He is truly present during our visits. I have never felt rushed or left the office without all my questions and concerns being addressed. THANK YOU Dr. Seeley & team!
