Dr. John D Serini, DO

Spoke with Dr. Serini after I had to call the answering service back to get him to respond to my 1st call after over 3 hours of waiting for a response. When he finally did call me back he seemed annoyed, and made me feel like I was bothering him. He 1st stated he couldn't hear me, which I had been on the phone off and on all day and nobody else had any trouble hearing me, and then when I would ask him questions he would say he didn't understand my question. I was asking for advice on what I could have for protien drinks due to having low blood sugar and having concerns I would have a sugar crash. I was having trouble finding any clear ones and the ones I did find were pink or white with milk. I was supposed to do an all liquid diet for a procedure and simply wanted to know if the kind i found were OK to have, he just kept saying he didn't know and to follow the instructions I had been given from my Dr. If I had the answers I needed in the instructions I would not have needed to call… the answering service to find out information. There was also the fact that I had been stuck on the toilet for 4 1/2 hours with a much "gentler" pre-prep, he had no answer for that either or how long the effects could last! He literally gave me not one answer to any question I had. He just told me to follow instructions I was given and do the best I could, use my own judgement. Hard to do when I have never had this procedure before. Glad to say he's not my doctor!! His bedside manor stinks to say the least!! Very rude and dismissive.

They NEVER call with test results. When you call them you are treated as a real bother. Missed basic BP signs for medical issues and loss of weight. Horrible bedside manner from both Serini and his PA Wilcox. Find someone better than these two.

I had a colonoscopy done by Dr Serini and I had a completely horrifying experience. After waiting for the proceedure for 2 hours after my appiontment was suppoed to take place ,I was awake through the whole procedure and was moving around the table and looking at the nurse and screen the whole time to try and get their attention, while I couldn't speak from being half assed sedated, but told the Dr and nurses after that I was awake the whole time n either ignored what I said or assured me I wasn't awake even though I could tell them their conversations and what happened while supposedly being under. I was in horrible pain and could barely walk yet they still discharged me. Left a message for the nurse and still have not had a call back from them.

The PA is rude and incompetent. Refuses to listen to my concerns and comes up with a variety of diagnosis. The doctor spends his time only doing scopes. Never calls to give you the results of expensive tests. Thinks it is too much work for them to spend any time speaking with you

The rudest doctor and his office PA. Don't go to this incompetent office. If your illness is to hard for them to figure out they make up diagnosis.

Serini performed an endoscopy and implanted a small device in my throat. Immediately afterwards, I was suffering cramping like pain in my throat but was discharged anyways. I suffered all night and called his office in the morning and was told he would call me right back. He never called. I called the office again after noon and eventually heard from him where he told me that this was a very unusual occurrence when actually upon googling this reaction, I found it to be a not so rare side effect. I insisted that this device be taken out immediately and finally at 7 that evening it was done. Dr. Serini was kind but I suffered a lot of pain while waiting for him to help me. I never saw him for a follow up appointment but instead saw a NP or PA that was less than caring and abrupt with me. The Metro Outpatient unit was a poor experience. Poor attitudes seemed to prevail along with a sense of being ignored by the staff. I would never recommend this department to anyone.
